Dad is a badass hero! And being a Momma's girl get's you pulled into a stupid self destructive spiral of sacrifice that your mama got herself poisoned yo keep you out of.

 

Reason mom got poisoned was cuz dad wasn't around to punk those fools. Effecting the dad would probably get better results what with him being the King.

 

Wrong; Daddy never became king because grandpa found about Joey's Void Magic, and Void=King cuz lolBrimir. This is what caused a BSOD for Joey, because by all rights and reason he shouldn't be king. Dad's far more suited to being king, but he handed his brother the throne with a grin, saying it's truly his because of Void Magic.

Joey's confused cause our dad's better at...everything than him; but is willing to bow to him. Cue what happens in canon...

In your dreams, you look out into an enormous menagerie. There are so many animals, each beautiful in their construction. They are formed of an intricate lattice of wires, overlaid such that they resemble a cat, or a bird. You want to reach out and touch them..

A new face appears in your dream; a man, who looks at your creations with an unimpressed gaze. He asks you some questions, and you respond mechanically. He leaves to argue with your caretaker, gesticulating toward you while he speaks passionately about.. something. Your keeper laughs his concerns off, and says something that truly enrages the man. His fury burns ice-cold and he stalks off, looking immensely displeased.

Your creator sends you off somewhere- a forest. To prove your worth, you realize. The man from before- he must've cast doubt on your usefulness, and the old man has decided to prove him wrong by sending you out into the dangerous wilds. You merely obey his orders and wander around, waiting for something to happen. As you're set upon by pack of wild beasts, you simply observe as they attack you. They try to tear you apart, but you sever any pain you might feel in injured areas. You start to sustain damage beyond your existence threshold when- the man from before comes flying in with a pistol raised.

He shoots two of them dead, and the rest re-prioritize to the higher-risk target, circling him. He reloads calmly and blurs out of the way when the beasts leap as one to devour him. He puts another bullet in the head of each; efficiently dispatching every single one effortlessly while remaining completely untouched. He walks over to you, his eyes sweeping over your wounds once, before stooping to pick you up. He carries you away from the scene without looking back.

Nestled in his arms, a spark of.. something, ignites in your breast as you gaze up at the man dashing back to the castle, full of purpose. Curiosity? Interest? It is something new, for sure. When you are told that this man will be taking over your teaching, that spark flares. Your blank gaze holds something other than analytical processing as you wonder what Kiritsugu- for that is the man's name, you learn- has in store for you.

Though there are many who take care of you, you are happiest when your mother is near. You open your eyes to find the kind face of your mother staring back at you. You feel a warmth enveloping your heart as she runs her fingers gently through your hair. It comforts you and brings you peace, almost lulling you back into slumber.

"Ahh- like freshly fallen snow," your mother murmurs as she soothes you.

In your reflection in the window, you can see your hair has streaks of silver running through it; just like your dream self. Combined with the natural blue, your hair reminds you of the cold winter. It looks enchanting and otherworldly.

Your mother's voice is confused as she takes something grasped in your tiny hands. "What's this?"

A small line of wire is pinched between her fingers as she studies it. Abruptly, it dissolves into nothingness, eliciting a squeak of surprise. Her brow furrows in thought after it vanishes. "How strange.."

The wire resembles a tiny part of the animals in your dream. You realize at that moment that you can make them too. You can't do what your dream-self does, but by focusing really hard on an image in your mind, a small cutting of craft-wire appears in your hands. It lasts no longer than twenty seconds before it disappears, but you can always make another. Nobody around you seems to notice, apart from your mother, who doesn't seem to worry overly much about it; at least where you can see.

She must have told your father, for one day he comes to visit you and pays close attention to everything you do. When a cross-shaped wire appears in your outstretched hand, he too looks at it thoughtfully, with a hint of worry. Your mother and father exchange hushed words, occasionally glancing back at you. They seem to come to a decision; your mother looks unhappy, and your father looks resigned.

Soon after that day, your next birthday comes. Your second birthday party isn't quite as grand as your first, but there are still many in attendance. Your odd hair coloration attracts some disquieted stares, which become even more uncomfortable when they gaze into your blood-red eyes. They dare not say anything under the watchful gaze of your parents, but it is a fact that the only ones who seem to treat you normally once they see you are your parents.

Another year has gone by. You still have more dreams forthcoming. How do you view them?

Guys; magical dream #3 is going to be us hanging with Kiritsugu and getting emotion, so fully embracing the dream should deal with the emotionless trait.

Kiritsugu features in all of your dreams from now on. He tells you of how those outside the castle live, and of society. At first, he is more of an instructor, correcting your faults and instilling understanding of the wider world. Later, he is more of a partner, discovering your joys and sorrows right along with you. That spark of curiosity becomes a blaze of interest, and you start taking the initiative in learning. Every new thing you discover is a treasure. You are never allowed to leave the grounds you were created in, and it fosters within you the desire to see beyond these walls.

One night, Kiritsugu shares with you his ideal; the ideal of a peaceful world without war. You realize that he is a man with many scars carrying a heavy burden. You make a resolution to stay by his side until your inevitable end. It is not a whirlwind romance, of two people falling head over heels in love. It is more of an exploration of what it is to live; both of you find something in the other that was lacking in their life. You feel alive when you are with Kiritsugu, like you have a purpose, but you feel sadness as well, that you will leave Kiritsugu before long. You want to leave something for him to remember you by; but you must first get past the obstacle of the old man. You were not designed to have children, after all.

You trail a finger down the window in your bedroom, staring into your reflection. Your hair is completely silver, and it now falls down past your shoulders. You still have traces of your mother's face in your complexion, but a casual onlooker would never guess you were even related.

Attempting to walk on your own two legs, you fall and scrape your knee on the stone floor. As tears leak out from the pain, you hover your hand gingerly over the wound. You're surprised when the flesh starts knitting itself back together, like time was flowing backwards to the point where 'your knee was not injured.' It feels strange, a tingling sensation that makes you want to itch the wound. You refrain from doing so, and after a couple seconds your knee is as good as new, without even a trace of blood.

A loud crash causes you to jump backward in surprise, falling on your rear. A maid has dropped a tray of drinks and is backing up slowly, looking at you with a horrified gaze. She shrieks when you make eye contact and runs away in the opposite direction. You mostly ignore her hysteria, your attention captured by your new ability. You totter over to the mess the maid left and poke the shattered glass remains with your finger, opening a tiny cut. You focus on reversing the wound and the blood eerily creeps back into your finger, the wound closing itself shut. You know this is an ability your dream-self had.

You've learned to listen. By sitting still and closing your eyes, the sounds all around you become clearer; they begin to arrange themselves in coherent patterns. You can hear your mother and father speaking with both familiar and unfamiliar words, though they don't yet realize you can understand some of what they say.

"There's.. nothing wrong with her, right? Did you find who you were looking for..?"

"..he's a hard man to find. I should be able to have him check out Charlotte soon. She'll have to stay in the castle for now."

"But.. why?"

"You know that it is better if she remains here. We can't attract attention onto her unique attributes.. the other nobles are hyenas, that will fall upon vulnerable prey as soon as they can smell it."

"It feels so wrong.. this is our daughter, and it feels like we're putting her in a cage."

"..I know. This won't be forever.. we just need to have patience."

Your parents seem unhappy, the atmosphere strained. You don't entirely understand the problem, but that's okay. It is a perfect time for you to interrupt. By moving around your mouth and tongue, you can mimic the noises of other people to make yourself understood. The concept of 'names' is easy for you to grasp. Forming comprehensible sounds is more difficult, but you can do it if you try.

"Aa.. Ma..ma.."

Your mother's beaming smile encourages you to say more things, and to call her by her name whenever you can. 'Da' is your father, and all of your other caretakers are simply 'maid.' You learn to ask for things; food, sleep, a ride on your father's shoulders. You can interact with others on a very basic level. You are harshly scolded when you ask to go outside, which saddens you a little bit. It reminds you of your dream-self. You've seen enough castle-interior to last multiple lifetimes.

Your third birthday is the most subdued affair yet, with only your mother and father in attendance. Despite this, it is perhaps your favorite thus far; there are no cold stares of strangers to dampen your spirits, and your parents are free to shower you with love on your special day. Your mother gets you some 'books' to read to you whenever she can.
