So maybe it's just my perversions speaking but this Emma seems a little....ya.

That was seriously a wonderful one shot, and a lot stronger here than in the edited SB version.

--[X] Why, you will have a makeover and everything. Honestly, does Taylor know nothing about style? That hair is completely unsuitable for someone like her. A pixie cut, and a dye job, a strawberry blond color, would suit her much better. And as she gets better under your guidance you'll let her grow it out again, bit by bit. It would be a good progress bar of her training. Taylor should really appreciate how much you care about her.

Because while Taylor was destroyed mentally already, her cuts to her past must be cut completely, so she can be remade a new person. Her hair is her one point of pride and her connection to her dead mother. By cutting it and changing the color, Emma cuts that connection, destroys that pride, and replaces them with a new connection (the ringtone of the phone she gave Taylor) and a new pride - the length of the hair Taylor is allowed to grow out. It also provides an easy "carrot" for the multitude of sticks.

And yeah, I'm going to hell for reading, much less participating in this.

 

Like the idea; not the method of implementing it. The new hairdo should look good, or at the very least somewhat decent; that way not only is Taylor mentally wrecked, but she can't complain about it either just like with the cell phone. That really hammers in the whole 'you are helpless to our whims' thing we've got going on here.

 

I know next to nothing about the feminine haircuts and what would be considered "decent" for a not very feminine American highschooler. Pageboy cut? The point of shortness is that Emma can allow Taylor to grow her hair out during the course of the training/indoctrination, and punish her for letting it grow out too much without permission, adding another lever to the control mechanism Emma has over Taylor's life. The point of dye / bleach is to shatter the connection Taylor has to her mother.

I think I'll change for pageboy cut for now, as it's decent-looking, I think, and I don't know any names for shorter hair styles that aren't a buzz cut.

Does anyone know what's the treatment used to make naturally curly hair fall straight? The bigger the difference between Taylor's current hairdo and the results of the makeover, the better.

Also, I have no idea what the color Taylor's hair should be after the makeover.

 

I'd rather leave that till after seeing what happens in school first.

 

Buzz cut is too extreme, unless we're going for the dyke/punk look for Taylor; which really doesn't work when she's a complete sub to us. We should probably go with something like a pageboy cut or a pixie cut; attractive, but still really short in comparison to her current style. We should go for a strawberry blonde or a nice arburn if we do; IMO the lighter shades tend to do better with the shorter cuts.

As to making hair straight; salons have a treatment that lasts 2 1/2 months, and I think I've heard of a drug that can do something about it. Other than that there's not much else.

...What? My grandmother's a hairdresser and I lived with her until I was 8 or so; some of the stuff managed to stick in my brain.

 

True. Still, those two votes don't actually interfere with each other, not really.

I like pixie cut - editing it in. And strawberry blond seems nice. Not sure about the treatment though. Emma should get it for Taylor, if possible.

However, it's Taylor who has to be responsible for the length of and the looks of her hair from then on. Emma is doing her a favor, and disrespecting it should be punished.

 

BORING. When is anything actually going to happen ?

 

Now now now. let's not do that. Taylor has wonderful hair. And I dont' want to push her to axe murder by visibly defiling that utmost personal reminder of her mother.


That might just make her tell her dad.


And well. I dont' want him to punch our skull in when he triggers from incadescent rage.

 

No no... Taylor's hair needs to be LONG. Long hair is harder to care for, the longer it is the more it can be used as a symbol of dependence. And since she LIKES to keep it long it not only serves as a reinforcement of our will but eventually ties what little selfesteem she has TO us and our constant care of the only thing she finds to be beautiful about herself.

Sometimes its not about tearing down... but twisting what already is.

The longer her hair is the better. The more time Emma spends playing with and fussing with it... and as such it is a commodity THOUGH Emma rather than her own hand.

We're up to 5 fucking snip and there's been no conflict, NOTHING HAS GONE WRONG FOR THE PROTAG. How can this be even considered Worm ? This isn't the Worm I was promised. Hell, this isn't even Worm at all.
This is just a bunch of sadsacks getting their rock off by torturing a girl for no good reason !

 

Only like... three or four days have past so far in story. This is clearly the calm part where we revel in our success, which we will then remember fondly when the shit hits the fan for the sixth time in a row.

5 snips in a Quest is a pretty long time. Especially since we didn't have any sort of involved character generation to go through. Books should be able to grab the readers interest withing the first chapter. For Quest I give them 3 snips.

I held on so far because this is Bii and the darn tanuki is well know to deliver quality products, but this is seriously starting to push it here. The only hook so far has been "come torture Taylor Hebert, for all your sub-human sadistic needs". It's not even the "sexy undertone" kind, just the "how can you even live with yourself ?" kind so far. :notfunny:

Oh and apparently Sophia is 100% super devoted to Emma, because things weren't easy enough already. :

Seriously, that bit should have waited for an Interlude rather then be awkwardly wedged into the narrative like it was.

There's carefully setting up the scene and then there's furiously masturbating to your Magical Realm,and this is starting to seriously look like the later.

So yeah, speaking as someone who doesn't get off to pretend abusing teenage girl, I'm a MITE bored out there.

 

What, realistically in the story so far, can actually happen right now? We've already broken Taylor and denied her the chance to trigger; thus removing the Skitter factor. The Sophia factor was never really going to be an issue because they never clashed in canon until Sophia crashed and burned and got arrested. What is there to do but to solidify our control over our favorite target until moving onto a new target for our bitchiness?

 

I'm actually aiming to trigger her in a way fundimentaly different from canon... But that takes setup.

 

Hence my cry of BORING. It's all non-stop Torture Porn, the "Plot" if we can even call it that is not even anemic, it's downright skeletal.

 

1.) Is there way to gain powers?
2.) Find a new target.
3.) Walk the dinosaur.

 

No please... well lets get out of tutorial mode first.

 

We're still at Tutorial level, dude. Let's relax, and enjoy the show.

 

That actually does sound interesting, but I'm obviously in the minority, so just forget it. I'll check this in...let's say a month or two, by that point SOMETHING should have happened useless the Quest died outright.

I am completely torn. I love Ender's vote, and think it looks sublimely awful. But that scandalous stories option... it shines so bright.
