Ok basically the way this vote is currently set Ender, Wyldcard, she's likely going to get a 'Thinker' power out of this deal when she snaps, with the problem which snaps her being one she can apply a 'superior set of Skills' to work though (Playing her mother's 'ruined' flute for her tormentors)... and likely one that will go with a Stranger power as well (Attention being payed to her)

Hmm I need to make Taylor do bad thing like steal the test but teacher seem to have more hope in us.

 

What I love about Ender's Plan is that, by itself, none of the things we are doing are at all outright mean, but develop that spiteful edge through the context of Taylor. Anyone looking in would just see a bunch of popular girls taking one of their down and out classmates under their wing, and doing everything they can to give her a good time. Buying her things, getting her clothes, making her look pretty~, like how the teacher thought we were helping her.

 

Am i the only one enjoying the mental image of Buster!Taylor warping in to this reality?

 

So We're going after the Hair. ... It's her best feature. We're really doing ourselves a disservice by making her a Blonde.

 

I think she could make a good blonde, and being a bit of a barbie is perfect for our needs.

In case it wasn't clear; I'm trying to put Taylor on the razor's edge of 'You're your mother, only a failure in every way'. She doesn't get to move on from her mother's death, and as Emma we will in fact force her to realize that she'll never be as good as her; that the reason her dad's doing poorly, her life is hell, and even why her mom died is because she wasn't good enough. That 'close, but no cigar' is the reason she's worthless to everyone.

She gets to look like her mother, only without the most important part. She gets her mother's flute; but only superficially and only in tatters of the original. She gets to be a teacher, but her students are the ones who control and instruct her in the end. Each and every torment we do I want it to be as a twisted reflection showing Taylor just what sort of wretched failure she is and what she'll never amount to becoming, yet seems just shy of being at.

We don't want Taylor to trigger; not without fully breaking her in first. And even then I don't want to be gunning for a specific power category, but rather for a specific method of breaking that feels outright poetic in it's evil.

I like the first stage of Plan Xicree, its the hooker bit that turns it into something a little to far for me. At that point you are going from Mean Girls style bullying into almost cartoonish evil.

 

Agreed; however, if we just so happen to go to a club that just so happened to house those of ill repute, and Taylor just so happens to do something...well, of ill repute while under the influence; then there's nothing we can really do about that now, can we?

There's no reason to dig the grave when we can get Taylor to do it for us, all we need to do is give her the shovel and point her at the plot of land to dig out.

Hey Ender? I thought the idea was to reinforce dependency and the idea that "you can only live by relying on me"?

Why would you make it so that there is a random element of the plan you don't control? It's like tempting Taylor to break free.

 

Which part? The clubbing was Xircee's idea first that I thought worked out all right; it's not like it's a completely uncontrolled element, if anything it can be considered a 'reward' for good behavior.

Also, to complete crush rebellion, one must allow the glimmer of hope to come up; then ruthlessly crush it to oblivion, in such a way as to make them thing it was out of casual whimsy. That glimmer of home? That was because we were bored and because it amused us; she wasn't ever free, we just decided to let her feel that way.

 

Dude. No drugs. Drugs are bad. And create an external locus of control as well as a mental escape from and enitrely cerbral brand of torture.

 

Drugs and drunkenness is bad. It gives a form of escape that you can't control.

 

Ah; but it is an escape we can control, because we can deny her the drug itself. Plus, we can pull the 'look at how wretched you are' line when she sobers up; clearly her mother wouldn't want her to be like this.

 

You think so, until she starts getting hooked on the feeling that she has escaped her life and she starts stealing from her father or when we're not looking.

Short of her actually living in with us and thus under our control 24/7, it's a bad idea giving her any sort of feeling of freedom at all. Which drugs and getting drunk can provide.

 

We can not control her ability to get drugs.

We aren't panacea who can make it so she can only get high on our shit and not die.

Taylor can learn to get drugs on her own. Get a job. Sneak around. Get desperate and become another statistic.

We get her on drugs and we get her on drugs. Drugs and the drink are there own masters.

 

A pathetic and worthless freedom that will make her feel like absolute shit and even worse about herself, because now she's a druggie and then there's really no hope for her. Let's be real, if Taylor becomes a druggie and gets worse and worse we will notice and we will make her go through rehab just for kicks. Because we have a secret lair and a parahuman minion, so we can get away with that shit.

 

You're not getting this. You're looking at this from simply the PoV that this will make her feel like shit and that's it. If your end goal is to just torment her, then that's fine too.

But the general listed goal I see is to completely change Taylor into someone we can control or is dependent on us. Giving her any sort of escape is complete counter to that.

Normal humans can't control minds. We can shape it, but when leave such a blatant way for them to escape your control you are setting yourself to lose.

Edit: Actually, I got an easier reason to understand why it's a bad idea.

What if Taylor did get pregnant? We can't tell her to have an abortion because we must have planned for her to be so. At least, if we want to retain the feeling that we were in complete control. And then Danny notices - and with us spending so much time with his daughter, we must know who it belongs to, right? What if he asks Taylor? What if she tells him to ask us?

Way too risky. And for no reward either.

 

But I am; if she decides to try to escape via drugs, we put her through rehab and teach her that she can't do that. It's clear that she doesn't get to escape like that. Then, if she's good and still needs a hit; we give her one. That way, she can be happy, but only on our terms and when we say so.

Edit: I'm with you on the sex though; that's too noticeable, but I think you're overstating how outside our control the drugs are. Because honestly, given we effectively own the school and can tail Taylor everywhere else, she really can't escape from us.

 

Suicide is still a thing especially if she's not in her proper frame of mind.
