On those who wanted to vote for the Loser votes, might I tempt you with replacing the Loser part with Otaku?

[X] The Delinquent. You weren't exactly what others would call a role model, when you were the kind of person who picked fights with others if they ever looked at you funny. Still, you kept the neighborhood clean from the more unsavory elements...
[X] You are The Brawler, equipped with nothing but your gauntlets and minimal clothing. Among the four classes, you are the swiftest and the deadliest, your gauntlets raining destruction upon your foes, either with blows that can shatter a bus with ease or blasts of Chi that disintegrate speeding cars.

... I JUST LIKE MY DRESS!!!! So what if I rrun dis gang? You got a problem with that? Well fuck you, Oi LIKES BEING PRETTEI!!! ~Prettiest boy in town... worst delinquent ever...~

    Sure. Changed.

Also people, remember that having The Otaku as an origin will allow our character to have a lot of IC knowledge about video games, which can only help, in the long run.

I'm just imagining if this quest was Kumagawa wishing he could be a protagonist in Shonen Jump.

Considering we apparently knew enough about games to want to turn our life into one I'd argue we'd likely have quite a bit of IC knowledge anyway.

Ha. What? Everyone knows about video games. Everyone. That doesn't mean that they know enough to take advantage of their life being turned into one.

How many of these people would wish for such a thing though? Besides which, even if we had only moderate amount of knowledge most of it can be acquired off of the internet anyway so it's not like we're losing much if we don't pick said choice.

    Hallo KL~!

    [X] Ren Koizumi
[X] The Genius, a highly talented individual, one who has hardly ever needed to strive to achieve his goals. Bored with your near effortless successes, you've been looking for something more. You made your wish to become an RPG character in the hopes of finding something that can really challenge you.
[X] The Winner. You are, naturally, a winner in life, and this reflects on the ability you gained. Your armament is comprised of those weapons designed to provide a quick and efficient victory - high-end ranged guns (anti-material rifles and HE cannons) for distant attacks, and twin, high frequency short swords for close ranged assaults. Your spells are the ones interpreted by the Incubators to allow victory - luck and entropic in primacy, they shift the tides of fate and causality to your whim, bypassing physical contests.

You are Ren Koizumi, senior model student of Mitakihara Junior High. Affable, smart, athletic, you were admired by many, from your horde of fangirls to being regarded as one of the 'cool' guys by the other boys.

You are also quite alone. Your 'friends', more interested in your capabilities, and the females...well, they're fangirls being fangirls.

You were approached by the enigmatic Incubator Kyubey in the locker room when you were preparing to go home after an intense training session in the track club. Being the last person to leave, you accepted his offer for a contract, the area secluded enough to conceal the light emanating from you as Kyubey sealed the deal.

As the glow faded, you took a look at the mirror and found yourself clad in a black and white themed outfit, its surface decorated by various glyphs. A rapier was held in your hand, also carved with various runes, but unlike the ones on your armor, they are lined with glyphs intended for channeling magicks of great power, as well as for melee combat - you don't know how you knew what they did, they just clicked in your mind.

You de-transformed, the process also instinctual to you, and saw the image of -

[X] Appearance prior to the transformation (no, I don't know how to do girly boys, and a minor description is nice too)

    - reflected in the mirror, with three bars above your head, showing your Name - <Ren Koizumi>, Class - <The Gamer> and Level - <12>.

You blinked in shock at the three bars, as well as the change in your musculature. Where before you were slightly skinny, now you had more muscles on your body. When you asked the Incubator about it, Kyubey had told you that it was you becoming a Puellus which transformed your body to an optimal state of function.

It seemed that your wish to become an RPG character in your life has been granted.

You looked around and saw Kyubey, with the same thing above his head, but its class is <Incubator> with the Level being <???>

Putting the notion of solving the mystery of Kyubey's unknown level to the back of your mind, you went home for the day.

Throughout the week, after school and extracurricular activities, you quickly grew used to with the various bars, and fiddled with your abilities

You found out that your Gamer-based magic is independent of the blackening of your Soul Gem, as long as it has some Mana left. You also gained some new skills from your attempts, as well as having a rudimentary knowledge of how your wish works.

<Mana Channeling (Level 2, 8.35%)> - The gamer can channel his magic into objects, as well as researching rudimentary energy-based spells.

<Energy Bolt (Level 1, 32.10%)> - The gamer can fire a bolt of energy from his palm or rapier, dealing 25+Int*0.15*Level pure damage upon his target. Costs 12 Mana per Energy Bolt without rapier, halves the Mana cost and doubles the damage with rapier.

<Power Attack (Level 1, 41.12%)> - The gamer channels magic into his weapon, dealing 120% weapon damage + 0.15*Strength on the next attack. 6 Mana per Power Attack.

<Piercing Weapon Proficiency (Level 1, 83.15%)> - The gamer is now proficient with all forms of piercing-type weapons, such as spears and rapiers. Deals 20% damage when using one, as well as giving a bonus to attacks made using them.

You also found out that you could summon multiple rapiers, though it is apparently tied to the Soul Gem instead of the Mana points.

<Summon Weapon - Rapier (Level 1, 0.50%)> - You can summon copies of your weapon, all of which are similar in quality. 5 Corruption cost per Rapier.

Of course, when you use them as throwing weapons, you also found a couple of interesting skills.

<Throwing Proficiency (Level 2, 4.15%)> - You can throw anything you want to, provided that you can carry the item. Deals an extra 25 + 0.125*Strength + 0.12*Dexterity.

<Power Throw (Level 1, 62.15%)> - The gamer channels some mana into an object, in which he can throw it for an extra 20% damage. 4 Mana per cast.

You also find out that you could train some of your skills through doing an action related to said skill. Which is how you were able to level up some of them quickly. Also, some of your stats went up a little from your daily activities, as well as training.

    +4 (+1) Strength
    +4 (+2) Dexterity
    +3 (+2) Vitality
    +4 (+1) Intelligence

At the end of the week, you were approached by Kyubey, who reminded you to hunt Witches and Liches, in which you apologized to him, as you were testing out your abilities so that you wouldn't die in your first battle. Looking satisfied, the rabbit? cat? thing seemingly disappeared, likely to make more contracts with those with potential.

After refreshing yourself and having a change of your clothes, you were ready to hunt those borne of despair and curses.

    Code:
    Quest name: First Hunt
    Duration: N/A
Description: Hunt a Witch or a Lich and kill it.
Victory Condition: The death of the Witch/Lich.
    Rewards: 1 Grief Seed.
    Failure: ???
    Accept this quest? [Yes] [No]
With a nervous but excited smile, you nodded and pressed the [Yes] button and received the confirmation message for your first Hunt.

Where would you like to start hunting?

[X] The park. Recently there was a news where a couple was found hanging themselves under a tree. Perhaps a Witch or a Lich was behind it?
[X] The alley downtown. Several murders were committed in the area there, but you were informed by Kyubey that it was the doing of a Lich through its familiar, and not a human.
[X] The woods on the outskirts. It was known as a suicide hotspot, though not as famous as say, Aokigahara. A Witch was most certainly behind it.
[X] Somewhere else that you probably forgot?

OOC: Exalted like stunts are encouraged. And it will help me immensely with writing updates.

If there's a fencing club in our school I'd suggest we go to it since it'd likely teach us a few moves and skills with our blade we'd likely need. Such as how to parry, lunge as well as other fencing tricks. At the very least we'l get more xp on how to use our sword.

With those stats we are not that much more powerful than a normal human... Attacking a witch might be suicide at this point. We should at least increase our Energy Bolt skill by a few levels first. It is likely by far our most powerful skill (it already does 122 damage!) and we only have it at level 1.

increasing our Level and our The Sorcerer would also be a good idea.

Oh I missed that... However it is still true that it is stupid to fight a witch with only level 1 in Energy Bolt since upgrading skills can be done quickly in the beginning.

I would suggest putting all of our 80 points into intellegence. It would enormously increase the damage of our Energy Bolt (we would do 410 damage!) and we might get extra perks at stat 50 and possibly 100 (the protagonist of The Gamer got such a perk at int 50)

found what I believe are a few mistakes in the stat sheet.
I guess this is suposed to be 17 Health per minute

Is ths supposed to be "Deals 20% damage when using one"?

Mami only had her ribbons when she began as a meguca without the Gamer ability and yet she can survive until now.
Just so you know, the Witch/Lich you're fighting are...easy (mainly because I want to test out the combat stuff T_T)

Edit: Ah, I'll edit it, it's supposed to be Deals 20% extra damage when using one *knocks head*

I'd rather we at least boosted some of our other stats since a) we are currently extremely squishy and unlike The Gamer's protagonist we won't necessarily have someone to play tank for us b) we do not have infinite mana and the cost of energy bolt will likely scale with the increase in power meaning that at times we could end up with no mana for skills c) We cannot afford to be slow and weak when our melee weapon is a rapier since does sort of weapons require speed and a decent quantity of strength to use to any effect.

Energy Bolt cost 6 Mana when using the rapier. The damage but not the mana cost goes up with increased int. We can afford to use Energy Bolt 37.5 times before running out of mana and we are likely to get even more mana when we put that many points in int (the level 50 perk in The Gamer among otherr things gave 5% extra mana).

It might be a good idea to put some points into vit or dex for defense but it is probably not worth sacrificing a possible int 100 perk. Our best defense will probably rely on killing the enemies with Energy Bolts before the reach us anyway (Energy Bolts can be fired rather fast).

With 100 int no enemy anywhere close to our level would be able to survive enough Energy Bolts for us to run out of mana. We would be able to do tens of thousands of points of damage!

Most witches will likely have a lot more then 37 familiars to throw at us though, not to mention that there's a chance it could either dodge or block our attack which would really ruin our tactics. Not to mention that if the increasing in damage are good enough it'll likely cease being worth it to cast it at weaker foes, of which we likely will face a lot. Also I'd rather not really on things being exactly copied from the gamer or puella magi verse since that's likely to backfire on us.
Additionally relying on solely one attack to be both your best defense and attack technique is likely to backfire on us should we either be ambushed find something that can no sell energy bolt.

Ultimately I find the idea of relying solely on spells when we'll likely have varied opponents to be a bad idea. We may be the sorcerer but we still were supposed to be able to handle ourselves in close quarters combat.
