Suggestion. Select stories that involve less-than-perfect event sequences where status quo is not preserved and the good guys prevail at a cost, and bid yourself in as genuine reinforcements to tip the scales. Fair amount of flexibility is required due to the stations of canon being derailed... -

That is the thing - still remember some offhand gripes that "slow romance" and "lewds eventually" tags serve as red flags for SFW fics in denial. Implication that the story is just a long tease with no payoff. Hence the nervousness. -
