Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Yeah, there's going to be some seriously traumatised pilots coming out of this... And a lot of attention. Not to mention quite a few mech piloting academies or military training centres grabbing the combat data and ordering their trainees to read. Not necessarily to become good at the lessons...
Absolutely shaping her breakthrough into Expert, because that's what she's decided this entire event is going to be I'm pretty sure. And the last line of the chapter is showing that it's begun to happen.
In the moment, probably salt yeah. But after inspecting the (public) blueprints for the mech? I think it's going to flip (for the sensible ones at least) over to merely being grumpy and respect to Bolt's team. Because they'll probably be able to spot some of the 'hidden flaws' that a First...
Being fair to Halomanity, the whole 'why do you have MACs when you could have energy weapons' is...
I can easily see the Tau'ri having some biases that just cause them to underestimate how hard something is. Such as the lack of naquadah or the various other 'super-elements' that are present in...
Iron Spirit?
Yeah... It's not like they started the meeting lamenting their fate as 'merely' functional designers. And now you are not only tying their names to a revamped versions of the core designs for the current fad going around, but actually getting their names tied to a modern actually...
Part of it's the fact that this sort of thing isn't keeping the highest level of scrutiny (otherwise the organiser's own cheating would be obvious), part of it would be that element of Cultivator culture where not doing your best is offensive to the 'Cultivator' (or Mech Pilot here) themselves...
Yeah, I definitely feel like Bolt and Lilly have picked up some long term companions, at the very least friends, here. Good job writing it up in a way that truly sells it.
I'm also amused st the whole 'wait, the armour is already fixed and it didn't even need all the equipment to do it?'. I...
Yeah... It really is.
On another topic, you know I'm left wondering if one of the ways they sabotage teams other than the Star Student is by messing around with part quality during the build phase. Nothing too overt, but something where most teams end up with some critical or just...
Thanks for this, the interlude was basically exactly what I was hoping to see here. Really looking forward to finding out how Bolt's reputation builds from this 'complete army set' going forwards. Especially as he starts branching out into other styles of designs now that he has a 'complete'...
Welcome to Horror Town. Population: you, your mates and that thing over there that just wants to (and will) claim your lives.
... I am actually wanting to get a 'reaction', either interlude or post-combat chat about just what went on there. Because you just know there's some serious hilarity...
There's also the fact Bolt's probably just naturally used to designing things so that they're easy to repair. Or at least, the maintenance constraints he's used to dealing with (namely, powered tools exist but you can't be sure they're working or that the idiot using it won't break it) will...
Not to mention the fact that those thrusters that mean it can spin to change what direction 'forward' is? Those are going to be abused so damn hard by good and better pilots. You don't have to guess where Lily falls on that spectrum.
God, once again I'm wanting tomorrow's update now.
... That mech design is going to be important later. Not a mistake, just a learning experience and slow pay off that you can use to make the immediate term next project better while waiting for said slow pay off.
