Might be a better fit for the funny image thread (because it's a joke) or the dark humour thread (because it was a dark joke, and that isn't an image thread), but I'm not overly invested as long as this doesn't just become another joke thread.

Yeah in the Dark Humor thread then it would be fine.
Funny Images seems like it's more image-oriented so should preclude words-only "images" (otherwise any screencap of a non-image shitpost would qualify and that seems like a bad criteria).
Tax, a picture which includes words, but qualifies here IMHO because it's a photograph of a real place (with real vandalism):
