So, what happened is that I had read this post late at night, tried writing a response, failed due to sleepiness, and ultimately decided to postpone replying until after a good night's sleep. Of course, said good night's sleep had wiped all recollection of that plan...

I like what you're doing, a lot. If I had to say something against the story, the first thing that comes to mind is a trifle - I don't get any of the music references. But, eh, the lyrics speak for themselves most of the time so it's not really a point against the story in general terms; I just google the songs because I want to have an idea about the tune Lulu is supposed to be singing.
