I have this Bleach idea, where Orihime reacted to her trauma by going full gangster (old-style banchou-esque with the long skirt), and Ichigo reacted to his trauma by being a depressed little shit.

There's a long complicated plot with regards to that, but the main gist of things is that you play as Orihime whose power is a zanpakuto that's Ryuujin Jakka lightning version. Ichigo is the same as before, and is typically less hotblooded and more coldly willful. "I will not lose someone important to me ever again", and has a surprisingly close relationship with his inner hollow in that regard.

Ichigo's depression early would get kicked out by Orihime's shenanigans, assuming you made the right choices (and there would be backup plans and other opportunities beyond the first meeting). I just like the idea of an Ichigo that just nods along and calmly accepts thing with cool determination, while Orihime is running around swinging a giant lightning sword and screaming at everything.

Also, to reiterate, you play as Orihime, and one of the factors of the quest would be prying off all the bitches attracted to Ichigo. It's particularly bad when he gets to Arrancar, because he kind of sympathizes with them once their sob stories come out.

I dunno how to do that. Yuroichi is a complex character, and the slow burn that's needed to TRULY justify their development into romance is something I don't have the chops for.
