Whatever context you're saying Exalt in, we're using the context of the tabletop RPG exalted. In that, a Lunar Exalt is a mercurial shapeshifter blessed by the moon, who has one animal trait that follows them in every form they take. And the first age was an era when Exalts of almost all groups, solar, lunar, and sidereal, ruled over mankind...and were bugfuck insane.
Like for instance, being so supernaturally charismatic and beautiful that they might make an off-hand comment while a normal is in the vicinity who then drops right there whatever plans or hopes or dreams they had cus you know that shit just isnt as important as being able to do this thing for this *amazing person* and its their new meaning of life.
Or in short, exalt kitty will, indeed, be getting their headpets.
Eh. I find it telling that the bulk of the First Age was fairly utopian in terms of quality of life for mortals, while the Dragonblooded managed to make life so shitty in the Shogunate that there were entire mortal armies who sided with the Fae to destroy Creation out of sheer rage at how they had been treated.
There was good shit in the first age, but you were not at the top of the priority list to receive it, and you had no real power over your life, because 'the god kings knew best'
Well yeah, mortals had little actual power. But there was tons of quality of life stuff.
Meanwhile, the Shogunate was basically constantly in civil war with itself, and so forth. Don't even get started on how screwed up things are after the GC.
Distopian societies are relative. For all that the high first age was the high first age, do not forget the elements that were hell for the unexalted. Some mortals were fortunate. Some were Gunzosha. Some were born to the whim of a Solar who decided the sun should burn their skin.
Yes, some mortals had things bad even back then. But for 90% of it, 90% of mortals had a really really nice life. Compare it to the Shogunate with endless civil wars with brief breaks in between, or modern Creation with _everywhere_ being shitty.
Despite it having started here, I'm not sure how enthused TheBleachDoctor will be to have this in-depth an exalted discussion repeatedly throwing notifications at them, considering they don't seem to know Exalted.
