For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.

Well, I would put the Genre close to the likes of Natsume Yujinchou. Hattori Chise, resident girl with a REALLY shitty childhood sells herself into slavery because it is the only thing she can think of doing with her life. She is bought by Elias Ainsworth, the strange fairy magician who takes her in as his apprentice and future wife.
It has a very melancholy and beautiful storytelling and pretty good art like in the manga. It uses a lot of English mythology/folklore of fairies, spirits and such since the tale takes place outside London. It isn't Beauty and the Beast though, because Elias is never rough or an asshole and treats Chise kindly from the start. And any romantic overtones are kept subtle and to small hints.
Oh and the bride thing is only because Ainsworth's own teacher once told him that it is common and normal for apprentice and teacher to marry if they are male and female. He doesn't really get humans...
I would suggest checking out the OVA that has been released before the anime. It gives a good feeling of the series overall tone and shows some of Chise's childhood.
