You know, watching the game with half an eye, I had dinner and some beers, just a night out

And just when I was about to cash out and leave

This woman comes in and sits down next to me.

This was like the second or third bar she'd been to that night (not that I can criticize that, it was number two for me).

And I guess she'd run into these college kids, and they gave her a hard time about her age (42 or 43 I think based on what she told me about herself). And she had just moved to town I guess and was pretty lonely (she didn't care me out and say it, but it wasn't hard to figure out).

So she really just wanted someone to listen to her, you know, and tell her that she's doing all right, things will be okay.

And she was getting kinda flirty, and I guess she was pretty cute, but....

I mean, when I'm hearing somebody out cuz they just need somebody to listen, I'm not attracted to that.

It's been a long, long time since I've been hit on. It was kinda validating in a sense,

But mostly I was like but all I could think was "uh, interacting with you is emotionally draining"

And I guess I'm just not sure how to feel, about how that's what I felt.

My guess is it means you're human, rather than some sort of saint. My recommendation is to feel okay about feeling that way.

And maybe think about what you *did*, and whether you're satisfied with your *behavior.* And, if you're not, think about what you would like to have done differently, and plan how to react differently the next time you have a chance.

But feeling that way? You don't have control over that. You're gonna feel how you're gonna feel. If you're gonna feel bad about something, feel bad about how you act on your feelings, not about how you felt in the first place.
