    Not for a while, but given that we test what genes do by isolating them and injecting them in mouse fetuses and forcing them to express in said mice. It's not actually impossible to make cat girls.

    Would be inethical however, since genetic tampering on human subjects to that degree is fiercely prohibited by a lot of people (because you’d have to get stem cells and human ebryos and acknowledge that a lot of these patients might die and etc, etc).

    So, better to say it’s MAYBE Plausible.

    Given we’re talking catgirls and not catmice, one would have to assume if you want catgirls you’d need human subjects. Which, again, are a lot more dififcult and inethical than mice (related note: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacanti_mouse no actual human DNA, just cow)

    Nope you'd have to use human genes to do it, and cat genes. Probably a human fetus or modified eggs/sperm I never said it was ethical or practical.
