Hindsight, it'd probably end up with part "dungeon killing", part waifu collecting/crystaling, and treasured 'meals/victims' ending up screaming as "Help! I woke up as a sentient, hungry boss monster!"
*Cue imagining an adventurer/isekai waking up as a hungry, female minotaur.
Well I'm less fond of the more obvious dungeon settings since I feel like they fall into monotony real quick. I feel like that setup would end up sliding too far towards the horror end of things though.
I'm always more fond of the dungeon settings where they basically set up a town inside their territory to feed off the beings inside them in a more farming manner.
I do kind of get the nostalgia aspect. I reread old posts pretty regularly myself.
You mean the monsters are not dungeon spawns but rather come in from outside, and the core just sets up a favorable environment while the outside is wasteland? Could work I guess. Would definitely have a bit of a different flavor.
Oh please. Dungeon Town end result. Is it's merely harvesting souls. Er, making it a "cosy fallout" for Monsters to be dedicated in protecting a Bunker, where it's safe... outside of those genocidal empires, and worse; "Adventurers".
Mainly, more bias on the monster cultivation end, than adventurers. But hey, farming logic. On how it could be trying to grow under a "Farmer" mentality, instead of the "Hunter/gatherer" logic. With possible side of "AI Logic/sapience" going... halpful, at best? :3
Ah so you mean with intelligent monsters that also make a town. So that means the monsters would raise crops there and it would actually have farms? It could definitely be interesting.
