Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.

Oh hey, sweet! Welcome to QQ! If you're here this is also probably the easiest way to have a conversation in private; I'll probably toss you a conversation/PM this weekend. (I have some replies half-written for you, but I'm also drowning in grading lol, so it may be another day or two before they see the light of day >.>)

And yeah, QQ got most of its members when it split off from SpaceBattles, which as the name implies mostly caters to sci-fi fans of, like, two decades ago. So primarily male userbase. Diversity's been going up with time, but it's slow going, and the no-politics rule doesn't help especially in comparison with SufficientVelocity (another SB sister site).

Still, it's one of the few places on the web where I can post lewds and there's an expectation of feedback, which you just don't get from Literotica or even AO3, so it's kind of addicting :V.

Haha no worries and take your time.

I've always had the assumption that SpaceBattles (and its spawns) were more traditional story-writing than dominated by NSFW fanfics? xD (I've visited like, only a dozen times).

I used to post on GaggedUtopia precisely because as anonymous as the site was, it had a tradition of providing feedback. But recent years the sites' owners are really letting it go downhill... (sigh)

Unfortunately I don't think I can get the level of feedback you seemed to get here (=P). Audiences are a big deal and it does feel like the main flow here is "story w porn" rather than "porn w story" XD. The fact that Violet is written for female self-projection doesn't help x//3 . Bdsm with psychological exploration is a genre I've always felt is overwhelmingly dominated by female writers/readers.

Heh. SB and SV are generally pretty anti-lewds, yeah, though SV is opening up some. QQ, on the other hand, was literally founded for the purpose :p.

And you'd be surprised! A number of the most popular/most famous fics on the site are that way precisely because they're more insightful, psychological works rather than being pure lewds. As long as the lewds are there, people will come :V (Pun possibly intended)

The one downside, though, is that it is fundamentally a forum, and so threads are only really discoverable for a short time after each new post. Basically, give it time; if you keep updating you'll start getting a stable of subscribed readers that can be counted on to keep the thread alive for a bit longer, and then it's a matter of hitting critical mass.
