Repeating HGs sounds kinda boring for the story as a whole.
Perhaps as an Omake though.

first Taylor fights Jack the reapper and her little posse style "Taylor and Chicago Wards vs Slatherhouse 9000" and then Taylor fights Sephirot and his circle of Heretic gods of videogame style "Taylor and undersiders vs Slaterhouse 9"

Sounds a little repetitive, story wise.
Creating a situation to make it sound believable in the story would also be a pain...

who says than it has to be the same situation? they are just the stations from the canon!

Wildbow is the repetitive one, and bratty one, and idiot one, you can make it work.

I am seriously considering re-writting the whole story.
DAO was my first story ever, and it shows.
There are so many mistakes there. And my fear from branching out from canon is one thing that I want to fix.

ummmm... then why not change a little the story?

instead of following the DXD story make it yours.

i explain: erase the DXD elements outside the pillars of the story: the evil pieces sistems and things from VR being able to became real with demonic magic.

but instead of Asuna and Kirito joining Rias Peragee they join Argo's, and create your own story: free from the "Canon"

use the exuse than his sacred gear activate after he became "inmortal kirito" in the figt against Kayaba

I think I'll give Asuna an SG. But will stick with Kirito having somehow tapped into the Dimensional Gap by accident.
Making him be a huge question mark would get some fun reactions from Argo and her knowledged obsessed family.

in fact, why not take inspiration on Seerking fic where Issei obtain the [Gamer gear] and give him that but a "global" version: he and is party can enter on "real life" to fictional worlds using it; only than they use VR normally

Gamer fics are tricky in my opinion.
They are either gems and great reads, or utter train wrecks.

maybe tht is true, but that is not what i try to tell you to give him: give him the ability to keep anything she has in the virtual world as real; basicly? make the fiction true.

a example: he is as strong as when he was in SAO, keep the same objects and his same powers; if he goes to GGO he keeps what he buys, and if you want to add comedy one of his "bodies" (the choice to add skins) would be "female form"

Could work. But balancing it so it doesn't turn into either a crack-fic or a Sue-fic would be tricky.

This is still pure hipotheticals. Haven't decided about re-writing or not. But they would mostly have their own advetures while sometimes intersecting with the dxd plot

if you would hear me i would give an interesting solution:

there is 13 longinus right? lot of them were not given any screen time, so chose 2 and give them to Kirito and Eugeo (or maybe Yuki) so they can be rivals like Issei and Vali.

the difference would be with SAO intead of DXD

Argo's (Kirito=Queen, Asuna Suguha=Knights Sinon Silica= Bishops Klein Lisbeth= Towers)

the sleeping knights (maybe Angels) (leader ? Yuki=Queen/Ace; you now what i mean)

The problem with two peerages is the same problem I ended up with in DAO. Character bloat.

i mean they can be all Pawns...

but the idea is more like "DxD but on Sao", which means than you can create your own "DXD" versions of the canon arcs
