For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

Eugh. I'm starting on 5/23 incident, unfortunately I do have chores and gonna prepare for TRPG session.
It's lovely works. Great worldbuilding. The architecture feels a bit weird imo, I imagine future building on tropic would pick more airy design, air conditioning eat so much power after all. But well, airy design also require more space, and the city seems to be rather dense, so it's not too unbelievable?
The architecture in Southern Sun is deliberately designed to look familiar to it's citizens - with a heavy bias toward the architects working for them, many of which were from Old Canada.
I like to imagine they're much more high-tech than they look on the outside, even if they architecturally might look like they were built a hundred years ago or more.
Of course, the real reason is, I'm using real-world locations as inspiration, perhaps as an homage to Mitakihara of PMMM doing the same, so it's just not going to look exactly right if I use those pictures.
Like, if you are on tropic cold is generally not a concern, unless you are on high altitude. Heatwave may not be a concern, too - varied by location. So I find it rather confusing people seems to use air conditioner a lot.
I guess it's the kind of things that's weirder the more I think about it, hm. Oh well.
I'm done reading, I think. Might check others, but I really need to prepare for tonight's session. >_<
