    I've lived with type 2 for 18 years now, best advice: talk to a dietician, portion control is everything. Pack your lunch, try not to eat out, fast food is bad m'kay.

    Find veggies you like (cooked, raw, doesn't matter) eat lots of them, more chewing=less urge to snack. Everyone, bar none, has bad days; the glucometer isn't your enemy. It sucks to not be able to eat whatever, but take care of yourself now so you're not sedentary and missing pieces of yourself in 20 years.

    I've been doing good so far, man. I think anyway. I've lost like 5 pounds though. Haven't been eating like I used to at all. And, dang it, I miss Fast fooooood

    Just ate cauliflower, brocolli and grilled chicken with shredded parmesan. And marinara. Not bad. Not bad at all. Eating healthy doesn't have to be the death of me, you're right about that.
