Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
can have any un-sealed children of theirs spared the seal, and raised as main family. Children of particular genius which can be detected before sealing are also spared the seal when it's favored by the internal politics of the clan.
In the continuity I'm imagining, that is. If Hanabi had a twin brother, he would be safe from branch family demotion, but there'd still be a choice between his sisters, because their mother's role in their birth only exempted one daughter from being placed into the branch family.
...And now I think of another Hyuuga AU entirely... Not every Hyuuga has the Byakugan. Those who don't, lack even the appearance of the Byakugan. All they have is the sculpted and carefully bred form of all Hyuugas. They are the branch family, those trained in different styles and raised as the wall that protects the privileged main family's white eyes.
Anyone with the Byakugan is part of the main family, whether they be born from lucky atavism in the Branch Family, or from the clan head themself. Anyone without the byakugan is a tool of the main family, given the seal they bear as much to prevent denial of their Hyuuga blood as to ensure their loyalty.
Though as well, it exists to prevent subtle bloodline theft by collecting members of the branch to restore the byakugan from the fragments in their genes.
Boruto and Himawari, in this continuity, would be branch family members if they were legally Hyuugas. Himawari wouldn't have her 'only white when on' byakugan.
Their assertion of the Sharingan being a mutant offshoot of the byakugan is, in this setting, that it emerged from an intermarriage of a particularly gifted branch family member (which, of course, doesn't mean they measured up to even the least of the main family members, in terms of what politics allowed to be recognized) and an outside ninja.
