Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
If you wish to change your username, please ask via conversation to tehelgee instead of asking via my profile. I'd like to not clutter it up with such requests.
I liked it; Jaune was *nothing* like his canon self for a number of reasons. But it was also probably the most wild ride I've ever been on, maybe even more so than Worm.
It began like RWBY and the Gamer and ended like a crossover between Exalted and the Kabbalah. Even sticking to the story-only thread, that was one crazy trip.
It was fun for me, because I didn't watch RWBY back then, so I didn't know Jaune or have a mental image of him! Also because I like that biblical shit. Well, a bit, if it didn't keep escalating like DBZ, that'd be nice, but I think Ryuugi doesn't know how to not do that.
Ryuugi has a fetish for high powered fantasy that I'd be lying if I said I didn't share at least partly, but it ruins stories that shouldn't need it. His thing Harry Potter works because of the Master of Death thing. But Jaune? Jaune is supposed to be anything but special.
It seems like he doesn't understand this aspect of himself, especially when he takes Chinese Xianxia web novels with the same seriousness as actually editted and published works, when Xianxia is the lowest possible denominator, like if you took the story and humor out of DBZ and added more power levels. This is the worst part of high fantasy; but conversely the easiest to enjoy.
