in-setting slurs is always so annoying to figure out lol. Have to constantly decide what a character might say.

Maybe it's because the usual writer's first thought/first choice is often something inane like "green skin" or "knife ear". One of the rules of writing better is to deny your first idea, which helps with plot problems and just overall quality, but this is probably something fantasy writers often ignore... but, with how cute stone girls are, there should be funny slurs...

For example, having a flashback to thrall and how orcambrian is his foil; two orc boys growing up in that slave fighting arena, one being taught how to think like a human and the other fucking taretha. Then, another when Jaina shows up. IDK lmao at this point I feel like all my thoughts on this matter have already been squeezed out

He doesn't need to be outright malicious, but all leaders have to make choices. For example, helping the orcs settle--he could settle them closer to the goblins because he doesn't trust them or because doing this would let him kill two birds with one stone. Or letting the orcs go first when archimonde arrives. Or telling Tyrande to accompany OrcSI and make him happy, because Malfurion wants to go back to the Dream.

Should he send night elves to blackfathom deeps or ask the orcs to try it first? Should he let the humans be the orcs' neighbors or put them far away? Should he stock up NE's own supplies or give orcs some surplus?

He might not be malicious, but as a leader, his responsibility is to his people first, but that would force Tyrande into a tough position since she has to clean up after his diplo-hazards after he runs off to sleep

Yeah one story idea I had to explain how OP the MC is was the idea that the MC was sent undercover by Rookwood but without Ranrok's knowledge. So he was actually a fully trained wizard, but all of the Ancient Magic bullshit was a complete surprise and suddenly his boss' boss wants him dead and what not.

But it wasn't even worth finishing the game to me, so probably not ever gonna write that lmao

if I were to do a story, I'd probably have it have nothing to do with the HL story, because it's boring, and just have MC take part in the Franco-Prussian Wars or whatever other Euro war, or maybe be a colonizer and plantation owner, collecting a historical harem, and opening up Japan
