I've considered it.
If you focus on relationships instead of the power wank, it could be fun.
I've got two ideas for it at the moment.
1. Power wank. Have someone else steal the boosted gear from Isse, go the mage route, store mana, constantly boost the stored mana, become a walking magical nuke. Cue: I am Atomic.
2. Ignore the power wank. Go full lewd. MC can guarantee pregnancy every time with any woman he lewds.

Also because of Issei's genes he is far more lewd, and so his new ultimate life goal is "More power! More waifus!"... Yeah, only OOC can change him. I'm not against "Eminence in Shadow" thing. In itself "power from the shadows"/grey-cardinal may be pretty interesting, but original is really too focused on it, and of course his Chūnibyō side... Ah, if Cid could be more mature, but guess that won't be parody than...
