But what I'm saying is Gwen Stacy is obviously the best girl, back then all the writers were into "It" girls with "sassy" attitudes, which basically translated to toxicity, so they kept writing MJ instead of Gwen.
It seems like every version of Mary Jane Watson is awful bad. Her only redeeming feature being that she's hot, but that's not an uncommon feature.

It feels like the Kankers didn't start off abusive and deviant, but were skewed that way throughout the development of the cartoon.
