Any idea what part is refusing? It sounded like the lack of a main plotline was beginning to be a problem for In-humane, and the readers pretty much voted to keep not having a coherent goal.

Couple of suggestions, if you go for something new instead of picking it back up:
1) Start the players with a character filling a role similar to Madison. Madison was great. Ensure that from the start.
2) I never understood what the stats that weren't connected to the power did. Do you actually need them? Would it make it easier to write updates if you ditched that aspect?

3) Give it some sort of stakes that are relevant but not game-ending from the very start.

In the thread, there's talk about putting too much effort into secrecy breaking what made the game good. Which is true, so that fails this suggestion. The demon stuff from the original thread never really came up, outside the intro and prep for the grandparents coming over, so that also fails this suggestion. But yes, this is hard to come up with ideas for.

In Worm, I would make it that the MC is functionally immune to anything Zion or the Endbringers might do, as a result of the power. They might have to work around something, but there's a confidence that they *can*, type of thing.
