Questionable Questing

It's a mild obsession of mine, and the name itself is from a fandom meme.

You do realize that you are now contractually obliged to expand upon the meme, right? I gotta admit, I've been kinda obsessed with Project Moon stuff over the last few months myself.

So way back in the day, Ruina was coming to X-Box, and was actually getting a time spot on a promotional stream by Microsoft for a trailer and such. A significant portion of the fandom watched the stream, but also the commentators were not at all interested in it and described it as the hit new JRPG by Type Moon.

There was also a second one where they were way more interested in talking with the devs of Stardew Valley, as stream guests, and somehow ended up reminiscing about VHS rental instead of actually discussing Ruina.

That sounds like something that would give me a brain hemorrhage from just listening to it. Overall looks like the tasteless hacks didn't know a good thing when it was presented to them.

Anyways, you played Limbus Company? It's by the same studio, a mobile gacha game technically, but very strong narratively and really expanding on the lore of the City. Especially it's latest story update, it was a quite engaging experience.

Yup, managed to beat the part 5 dungeon before the hot fixes arrived due to my sleep schedule being a mess.

Damn you Project MoonMoon, as usual there were bugs to be exploited but I missed them by just a hair. Still, out of all the Cantos, I really felt like they outdid themselves with this new one. Plenty of new characters, all of them likeable or just enjoyable, the story was tightly written, everything else, in fact, seemed to work out just right.

Oh no, I say this as a slight brag because the majority of the hotfix was nerfing most of the bosses. Admittedly was playing since day one so my account is slightly silly resource wise.

I discovered Limbus when Canto 3 was a thing, so I may be slightly behind the schedule a bit. I have been thinking about it's combat system, and figured out a new mode to replay all the episodes but using only the base ID's would be a great idea. It would offer a decent challenge, incentivize players to use the base ID's, and generally would be something fun for the players to do.

Canto 3 was there at launch, so you're pretty good. The first three were dropped as a group, which is why Gregor and Rodion got slightly shortchanged. While Sinclair got the lovely meta defining negative coin ID we all know and love, because they were still figuring out how valuable certain things were. As opposed to Heathcliff getting the overcorrected negative coin ID.

Honestly, all I cared to know about the guy is that he hatefucks Fishmael and that I will never, ever get him out of his Rabbit ID. I just love R-Corp, and I feel like if I'm not hearing his "GANCHANG" I may just throw a brick at someone.

I don't think Gregor got done dirty by PM all that much, he still feels wholesome to me. Rodion though, I will agree. Poor gal deserves more love.

Oh yeah, Rabbit Cliff is a menace, and I mean more as in Cantos 1 and 2 being a bit less polished than the others, as well as not really having the ID coverage. Rodion literally didn't get enough characters in her backstory to have IDs, and Gregor didn't really have much in the way of resolution. We got his backstory, but no real grand resolve from facing it.
