How cold do you mean? Where I am it has been oscillating between -20 and 0 for the past few days. Fahrenheit, of course. ;p

Honestly, 37 is a pretty nice day IMO. ;p Colorado is "nice" in that during the winter it can drop to like -30 on some of the worst days, without counting windchill, but during the summer it can also hit the high 90s or low hundreds.

I am pretty sure that anyone who is born or has lived here for a significant time naturally develops environmental resistance. Especially if you live in a house with shitty insulation and an only sometimes functional a/c unit. At least the heating mostly works well.

Although it is annoying how your hands will start to dry out and crack/bleed during the winter. Cold and very low moisture = not good for skin. Especially if you are a chronic handwasher and dislike the feeling of lotion like I am/do.

figures, I'm just so used to 90 to 100 degree weather, and when the heats mild its like a max 80 degrees, I become a shivering old man in the cold when it gets to the 50's.

I figured you lived in Alaska, or something not Colorado. I don't even wanna imagine what living in Alaska would be like.

I think that in a way Alaska would actually be kind of nice. It would probably be colder overall, but less extreme temperature swings means you can get used to it and have your body adapt. Like how you do to the high temp and humidity.

The worst parts of the year for me are always early summer and early winter because it takes my body a few days/weeks to fully adapt to the radical temperature shift. Once you get used to it the extremes aren't too bad.
