Questionable Questing

So... Have you thought about posting your work somewhere else? Archiveofourown, fanfiction, or hentai-foundry (or others I'm not aware of). This will increase the number of readers. You can even think about patreon and subscribestar so that writing is not only pleasant for the soul but useful for the wallet. If I made a mistake or messed up somewhere, I'm sorry.

I did open an AO3 and started porting my work over. This may surprise you, but forums like this seem to be far more populated and active. While it is harder to look for fandoms you're interested in, you have access as a writer to the entire readerbase.

In exchange for being found later, you get thousands of hits within a day. It's all a trade off, a bit more competitive with other threads and I kind of like it that way. I have over 150k hits on Main Man here, but on AO3, only just over 5k at the time of writing this.

I'll say I have been considering opening a Patreon or a Subscribe star now that I just hit my third month posting. You're not the first to suggest it, and I might even do it today --- I have a post to make thanking people later.

I'm glad to hear it. It's nice when a talented author gets the attention he deserves. By the way, I advise you to post on other sites and not only on AO3. Even a hundred new readers is always nice. You can add a message at the end of each chapter to go here for convenience so as not to monitor all sites. And if you really like writing here, then post with a time difference. Let's say a week.

Then all these sites will act mainly as advertising. Plus, I think it takes time for activity to appear on the new site. Ideally, the situation will be like with (Burn-the-World-Down). On fanfiction, this is one of the most popular avatar fanfiction right now and people often switch from there to here. Well, personally, I had it that way.

The main thing is the time and effort involved in crossposting on so many sites. You also have to be careful because some sites have a lot more rules than QQ and AO3. Like I have some stories on AO3 that I wouldn't wanna post here lmao.

I also have another Pen name that I used for 10 years for my Wordpress and other sites, but it's easy to find my real identity/name through that. So... Yeah, you have to be careful if you're trying to maintain anonymity lol.

And you mentioned FFN, but I honestly can't even log into my account there. I had the idea to post Main Man there, but I don't even know how people use the site!
