    But yeah, if you're not using the small talk as a way to reveal character traits and motivations through non-verbal cues, I wouldn't bother with writing dialogue for it. Half-sentence summary and move on.

    Like writing a three paragraph description of entering my room, sitting down, launching my computer, and starting to write said description.
