  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.

It's kind of like people can't come up with anything interesting so they copy the trashiest plots from kdramas because of course they do and then keep using the same character names that they've become a meme; "Liu Ruyan" is always female 1 who is good at a lot of things but shit at love, "Shen Youchu" is always female 2 and her antagonist, "Ito Makoto" is always male 2 and the one who seduces female 1 into cheating

Sometimes people switch it up, sometimes Liu Ruyan is actually a sweetheart, sometimes female 2 has a different name, sometimes male 1 and male 2 have different names, but basically Liu Ruyan has become like a sort of meme name like... not like Mary Sue, but even stronger than Mary Sue, because you can't expect anything from her, but she's always gonna be the center of the plot
