Questionable Questing

Truth be told, I haven't watched Daima yet (was waiting for a Eng Dub) but I seen the recent lore additions/retcons it made. I think the lore additions about the Kais and Majins are neat, they certainly expand the world and it'll provide one hell of a curveball to Cell once he encounts the changes.

As for Cells of Bells, the new lore doesn't really mess with anything I had planned for the most part, besides the Demon Realm and Kais most of all. I'll still be taking Xenoverse and Heroes elements (Demigra and Mechikabura) into account, but they'll be modified to better fit with what Daima has established.

So generally, I'll say that yes I'll be doing something with Daima lore.

Rip. I didn't particularly like the changes. Have you seen Rymus? Its kinda crazy. But the whole thing also kind of conflicts with Zamasu's whole deal a bit when you think about it. Also, I think the Kais being fruit people changed but im not 100% certain on it. They're also called Glinds now instead of Core People or whatever the name was. Its weird how Kais were turned into demon people, ngl.

I've seen Rymus, kinda crazy but it fits with Zeno I think. Supreme Kais and the GoDs, then Rymus and Zeno, a good balance since having only a destroyer at the top would make for an unhealthy multiverse. As for the change to Kais, I mean, Zamasu was always a hypocrite, so him not even being an actual god could add more to it.

The 'god' aspect has always been a title in DB. Kami offers the role of Guardian/God of Earth to Goku, Core People/Glinds are divine but are chosen to take the position of Kai/God. Only Glinds born of golden fruit are automatically Supreme Kai, and normal Kais can get trained and promoted to SK. Kais still trees people, so I'll just flip flop between the two names.

Btw, how has the next Cell of Bells chap been going? Or has all focus been on Amazo?
Yeah, the character limit is frustrating as hell.

I've been flipping between Cells of Bells and Amazo-n Prime tbh. Most of my focus at the start of the year was Singularity, then Cells (when I could spare the time), Summer was Amazo (when not distracted by Steam lol), September was giving previous Cells chapters (1-5) some edits/touch ups with chapter 1 being the most notable. Most of November was Cells before flipping back to Amazo towards the end.

After tomorrow (last final I'll have to worry about), I'll be working on getting Amazo chapters 14 out before working on Cells.

At some point I want to update chapter 6 too, especially the fight between Cell and Gohan (Aura burst mechanics from SB:AR), then the end scene with Bojack). Especially the end scene with Bojack. (I'll go more into why soon)

Progress on the next chap for Cells has been steady, as in 75% done at 7k words. It's only been recently that I've really been making a breakthrough in regards to one aspect, Zangya and Bojack. Because we have very little in lore or character about them or their race, and if I'm having Cell spare Zangya and taking her to the future, I'm gonna have to establish more of a background than what the movie gave us.

And I want to do something different than all the Gohan fics do when they keep her alive (OMG, you saved me, I love you). That's all I'll say on that here because its too public a place to have spoilers, and the character limit is annoying as hell. But if you'd like to hear more on what I have to say, I'd be fine to continue this in a conversation.

So apparently Vegeta has gained some sort of SSJ2.5 kinda thing in Daima, like if he went SSJ3 but cut it halfway short before he fully transformed.
Its a bit ridiculous. I think they tried to copy Beast Gohan here?

Every Saiyan tends to have an unique look for their hair when they go SSJ, so this may be the case with Vegeta here with his SSJ3 being different to Goku or Gotenks. And with Vege being chibi sized here, Ithat might also play into it.

Also, yeah I can see what you mean, it looks like Beast Gohan from certain angles. That's probably just from the size of hair rather than anything intentional though.

Okay, now how do you feel about this new "Toriyama SSJ4" design in Daima? Will you use ape-boi or monkey-boi from GT?

Cant tell if I like or dislike it, personally. It is certainly neat tho. But popeye...might need to wait for the adult version to decide.

I'm happy to see SSJ4 make an appearance, I sorta expected it with how much buzz has been around about it possibly showing up but kept my expectations low since that kind of talk has been around forever. The design was certainly a surprise. The all magenta does pop out in an interesting way, especially with the black hair being a built in expectation.

It gives off a similar vibe to that Gold SSJ4/'conceptual' SSG. But I prefer the Magenta, SSJ4 just works when its a shade of red imo. Speaking of other colors, it's possible for a canon SSJ5 if Gohan heads to the Demon Realm or gets hit with Demon Ki/Magic lol. The thought has to have come up in Toyotaro's head at least once, might not happen since we haven't gotten any AF references
