• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Questionable Questing

Yeah, I remember. I have a test today though.

~sighs~ It feels like I can never have a popular quest. And yet no one can ever tell me what's wrong or bad about them.

~_~

That is fucking weird. I mean, you write WELL, and you even get some pretty good topics, I've seen. Like, warcraft is pretty famous, and Worm is a goldmine of likes and attention. But...you always have low voter turnout?
Xicree
Xicree
Always.

I'm running a Worm quest... and get on average 10 maybe 14 votes... where everyone else hits 40 easy.

I run an original quest and struggle to get 10.
CrossyCross
CrossyCross
What the FUCK. Yeah, that is really weird.

...maybe it's a reputation? How do most posters seem to feel about you?
Xicree
Xicree
I keep hearing positives... except possibly that my subject-matters/protagonists are uncomfortable.

But then I have a quest like Prometheus... and get even less players/readers.
CrossyCross
CrossyCross
I honestly have no idea now.

What in heavens name am doing wrong then?

~writing is starting to feel like a useless endeavor~
CrossyCross
CrossyCross
That honestly sounds painful to hear. It should never feel like that.

Dammit. Questwriting NEEDS players for motivation. Something like that....ehhh...the fuck is wrong with this?
