The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
This line is way too clinical for a young teen who should be freaking out at their first taste of live combat. Tanya can talk like that, other children (or even civilian adults), no.
Still, it's a decent opening effort. I look forward to where this goes.
A hunter named Rainsford? Why do I get the feeling someone read "The Most Dangerous Game"? Great short story, you have good taste. Or perhaps you watched the more recent movie?
I only post stories on QQ that have NSFW content. For now, I plan to continue the Sakura stories on the websites they are on. If any of them ever start having adult content, I'll post here as well.
All sieges are slogs. If they aren't a slog, it's because the enemy is trying to be clever. The trick is to avoid it becoming a siege in the first place, but alas, that ship has sailed.
What's this? A missions suddenly turns way more dangerous than expected and it didn't happen to Tanya's flight? What heresy is this?!
Great chapter as always, looking forward to phase two.
I dunno, once he got it out of his system, he seemed to calm down pretty quick. I'd say it's more an expression of how much he trusts Tanja that he can feel secure in letting himself go like this in front of her. I seriously doubt he'd have made it to his current position without some...
It's not an original idea. Philip Reeve had the very famous Mortal Engines books which he wrote in the early 2000s based on the same concept of mobile cities.
I'm perfectly fine with the story so far. Tanya isn't about the cool magic and overpowered fighting abilities. Being Tanya is a state of...
Is it a joke if the story has set it up that way on purpose?
My guess is her Thinker ID will attract Jack Slash, Smith will attract Mannequin, and we already know Shatterbird picked Poltergeist.
Poorly. Taylor is there simply to gather powers, Jack is an egomaniac who hates being used, and...
All right, at this point I have a question for anyone who knows Exalted.... why is Rune's power taking so long to learn? Judging by how one of the most dangerous charms is the one from Uber and is super-easy, just what exactly is Taylor trying to learn from Rune?
Also, can we get an update on...
That can get confusing. Considering Dresden's full name is Harry Copperfield Blackstone Dresden. But then no one calls him by the middle two names so I guess it'll be fine.
Why would she be undercover? Although she does have a logical reason to attend school... many soldiers today go back to college to pick up degrees that compliment their military specializations. So I can see Tanya going for a course that will complement being an RP pilot, maybe computational...
I disagree! I am intensely curious about how things went. Although the fact that Visha seems largely unchanged indicates she didn't live for too much longer after Tanya's death, because I don't see Uriel giving her the option if her first life wasn't already over.
I have to ask now, since my Google-fu has failed me, but can someone point me at the original source for this setting? Or is the whole setting something OP has created?
That assumes Tanya's breaking of the spell had anything to do with the explosion in the first place :p It was a real historical event, and is suspected to have been caused by lightning hitting poorly secured ammunition. In this world? Who knows? Not me!
