Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Thx for the chapter.
Btw I have a few questions.
1, how powerful is the Xian polity?
2How powerful is the Cadre?
3 Is the cadre like a cabinet?
4 What power does the lower house hold?
5 How does one join the Cadre?
6. Pax, what military strategy and tactical books have you read to construct...
So the cadre controls the most stable of the provinces? In that case they have the most potential to develop a robust political state apparatus.
As compared to the other warlords how well trained is the Xian"s army?
Zhang in Manchuria had an officer academy while the south had whampoa. But a...
I'm wondering how powerful their region is as compared to the other warlords. I mean they're focusing on building up their territory and investing instead on trying to take over China. Not to mention all the schools opened in their region. How well educated would their populace be?
How hard is administering China, let alone a province? Are the provinces that huge and powerful? Btw how is the Cadre administering their zone of control and how is the logistics of the army at the moment?
I understand that controlling the pay of staff from a single point, i.e, bursars office will make corruption harder but how would exposure to higher authority lessen corruption?
So to summarize, it was practiced in northern China and there are sources of it. Also the information that i received might be skewed in some way or the other. Also the north-south divide also played a role. Can one of the reasons be because the north was closer to the nomadic horsemen with bows...
I just wanted to know if people supported this during the time period? I have heard women practiced archery but the people were very conservative especially the Ming and Qing dynasty period so I was quite surprised when Xian allowed archery for the women.
I'm still trying to understand the fact that a foreign company governs a province. How does the central government view them? Did the cadre just find a Chinese man to be a governor in name? How are the people in their territory view them?
How are the cadre finding that many people to fill up the ranks of their organisations? I mean western educated Chinese don't grow on trees during those era. How well educated are their Chinese officers? Also how are they dealing with the landlords? If I remember correctly in every mainland...
So how will Xian be treated? Is he treated like a fellow warlord or that guy who knows where to get things and provides you for a reasonable price?
Also will he reunite China? Also wondering what the kuomintang think of him as well as the other players like Japan, Britain,France, etc.
Pax just wanted to ask how his American comrades and especially his father think of him having two women with him? What do they think? Do they have the 20th century mentality or are they open minded?
Will Xian be asking for German modernization after the war? Cause I think that the machines as well as the technicians will be dirt cheap cause they lost the war, he could also ask for German instructors as well as some General staff officers. Those soldiers got nothing to do but cause trouble...
The more i read the more I think of"Arasaka" from Cyberpunk. A corporation that is it's own country. Will Allen"s Cadre become a Mega corporation or a country?
