The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

[X] It occurs to you their might be great value in having a wizard on retainer who can identify magic items. Tomorrow, you'll try to find one and bring him or her back here with you.
- [X] Apologize (Diplomacy roll)
- [X] ...then say you're still willing to help her selling her treasure, and ask what sort of deal she thinks would be fair

Diplomacy: 13-, Fast-Talk: 13-...
[X] "If Nawitha thinks he's an elf-blood, maybe he is. Doesn't it make sense that an elf-blood would be able to identify another elf-blood?"
[X] Try to find that book for Censor Ranis.
Saying that the king is a demon doesn't seem necessary, but neither do I wish to cause greater offense in...
[X] ...suggest to your allies that you all resume drinking, confident that no one will trouble you further after that demonstration.
Right now, strength and confidence. Tomorrow morning, Lathir will provide an explanation.
X ] Pick up your broom from where it's leaning against the table, and be ready to whack him with it (Staff) if he doesn't back off.
We're *substantially* better with a staff than a knife, diplomacy seems pretty unlikely to succeed here, and I want us to show off martial skill.
- [X] A Zimar'anese aristocrat being totally incompetent at his job, and making slaves do the work for him, sounds typical. Ganīm spoke the truth, even if Ranis thinks saying so outright was unwise.
- [X] If Zadūr is fond of drink, he'll appreciate the skills of a good bartender. You smell a...
Alright, we have a hireling! And she's presumably competent with her axe: go us.
[X] ...to approach the man in the purple-trim cloak and try to find out his story.
OK, our largest known problem is goblin bandits in the hills, so that's what I'm thinking we want to prepare for in hiring. But I also don't think we want to hire anyone yet: much wiser to work for others for a few months while we get our feet wet, meet some people, and have a better sense of...
[X] "Uh... no?" You're skeptical, but don't want to argue with a city guard.
[X] Head for the waterfront—you figure there will be better options there, or at least more options.
People vary widely in wait-times, but my general guess is that the more people involved in the quest and the more...
Just read https://forum.questionablequesting.com/threads/help-with-alert-settings.12626/#post-3566575, and it saved me posting a thread of my own (I accidentally started watching a thread with an email subscription, and couldn't figure out how to remove it). Thank you! I really appreciate the...
