The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
At least they no longer have any power over you. Which, considering how petty Spacebattles staff are, is going to eat at them for a very long time after the initial high of forcing you off of their platform wears off. Just look at The Sietch; we're still pissing them off years later, simply by...
It is just a leak, so it's entirely possible that it's fake; still, your argument basically amounts to nothing more than "that's not how I perceive the business world to operate", so you'll forgive me if I take it with just as much of a grain of salt. Regardless of your perception, people are...
Disney may be a well run, professional organizations; but Lucasfilm is neither of those things. At this point, it's a rouge division run by an egomaniac that needed to be reminded who exactly is in charge. I mean seriously; what about insulting and slandering the consumers of your product...
That's not a good comparison; the current controversy surrounding Star Wars is far more damaging to its brand than anything involving the Spiderman movies. There's just far too much bad blood; the fans who left are not going to come back any time soon, and five years may not be long enough for...
If Episode 9 fails, I suspect that's what they'll do eventually; but it will be years, if not decades, before people will be willing to give them another chance. Not to mention the fact that Disney will need time to clean house at Lucasfilm and plan ahead, so that the same issues won't plague...
I think you're misunderstanding the point of the meeting; he wasn't looking for anyone's approval or support (outside of possibly their advice on how to fix the mess the Star Wars franchise had become) they were mostly there to be witnesses to Kathleen Kennedy's reprimanding, to make it as...
Last week, a woman by the name of Grace Randolph did a video detailing information she says she received from a source at Pinewood Studios. Here's a quote:
If this is true, it would do a lot to explain the recent changes at Lucasfilm.
The only good potato is instant:
and no, I am not kidding.
Seriously, mix in some butter, sour cream, cheese, powdered garlic, salt, and pepper, and you've got the perfect mashed potatoes.
The only way to find the truth these days is to become an investigative journalist yourself; ask questions, hunt down primary sources, and always be ready to admit that you could be wrong. Assume that everyone has an agenda, and nobody is going to tell you the truth unless it serves their purposes.
If that is what you feel you need to do, so be it. I, at least, would rather have politics become a verboten topic, than to have to constantly look over my shoulder worrying about whether or not my next post is going to offend someone.
To be fair, I don't think Breitbart is reliable as a source either; it's just that I don't think anything is a reliable source these days, aside from cold hard facts.
The problem lies in whether or not one is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt; it's entirely possible that they went ahead with the story even knowing that there was a great chance it wasn't true.
Personally, I've seen enough of their reporting that I'm not willing to give the Times...
To be fair, I did have other examples I could have cited; it's just that they all had to do with their coverage of Trump, which I assumed that he would have rejected out of hand.
That said, I personal believe that bad reporting that leads to massive death tolls and suffering is worse than...
