Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
Asking how black pudding, figgy pudding, and yorkshire pudding can all be pudding when they aren't similar at all is a bit like asking why a hyena, a bear, and a seal can be so different when they're all carnivorans.
And because Americans weren't really eating any other puddings very regularly, eventually those unrelated but convergently evolved desserts were all that was left being called 'pudding' in American parlance.
By contrast, the American use of the word pudding is a polyphyletic pseudo-group of dishes Americans thought seemed similar, and the milk custard desserts and blancmanges it generally refers to are not pudding in the British tradition, from which many of them originate. Americans just seem to...
The British use of the word pudding, which at first seems like it could refer to everything, is actually best understood as a monophyletic clade of British dishes descended from the French Boudin Noir (from which we get the word pudding), a blood sausage and probably the direct parent of black...
Here's some tidbits for people who wonder why England calls a blood sausage 'black pudding' and why yorkshire pudding is a pudding when in America pudding refers to milk custard desserts and a few similar things, like rice pudding and bread pudding!
No, marier if put to that same test has like, 10 words per day in universe. It takes place over the course of more than a century. My current fic is a fanfic for another fanfic - an authorized spinoff of fate revelation online, called A Certain Silent Neuromancer.
I recommend linking the animated form of your avatar (it should still be stored on the QQ servers, it just doesn't play anymore) in your signature, for old time's sake and fun.
Alas, I was trying to put the ear twitch gif in a spoiler in my signature, but it seems they scrub the whole signature if you do that.
Well, my sig is now an onsite link to the gif. If you crave ear twitch, you need only click on headcats.
Yeah unlike XF1 XF2 properly filters out gifs even in the profile instead of just limiting the filesize and taking a single frame of gifs that exceed it. It's a tragedy I knew was coming eventually.
Or rather, it seems to be that the original gif is 100x100 pixels and the version that displays...
I can't comprehend the complaints that describe the badness of the current UI in terms of 'It's too much like SB/SV now', because that's like...kinda wrong actually IMO. The ways this UI sucks are completely different from any complaints I might have about those forums, and SB and SV have far...
