The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
The line between a language and a dialect is complete arbitrary nonsense. From a purely linguistics point of view any dialect which has been formalised enough to have a government backing it or an autonomous region using it in forms is a language and that is the sole distinction. However, from...
Theoretically yes, in practice you'd never see anything beyond a cease and desist letter unless there was an existing official translation or you were profiting from it.
The legal status of fanfics makes actually suing people over it quite difficult considering that many of them are only legal...
Are you high? Drunk? There's a point where an argument becomes fundamentally absurd... and there's a point past it where it becomes outright stupid.
We have literally thousands of years of evidence proving it. It is readily available. Legal codes protecting the weak over the interests of the...
In this case, it's because the old forum software had been unsupported for a full half-decade at this point, swapping to XF2 was always going to have to happen and the current UI options are mostly default to XF2.
Nearly two weeks later and thus almost certainly well after you've made your decision, but some advice I do have is that the rewrite/reboot option will both utterly murder your fanfic and trap you in a cycle of being so tied to canon that you'll convince yourself in the future you need to do it...
I wasn't going to leave a message but I'm genuinely angry about you creating a strawman about might makes right when I never once brought it up. I never once said that the Imperium was justified, only that committing Imperialism against it is still committing *Imperialism* against it.
"Imperialism, state policy, practice, or advocacy of extending power and dominion, especially by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political and economic control of other areas."
Note the lack of the "We believe ourselves to be righteous" or "Our enemy is also doing it" exception.
My advice? Don't.
Wikipedia doesn't need your money. It's revenues are consistently more than 10 mil it's expenses, and it gets an 100 million endowment on top of that and none of that counts the donations from big groups.
It makes a big deal about needing money, but if literally every...
It's usually reported as the whole document being classified when it's usually either just "restricted" or it includes pages that are redacted in the public version and thus is technically classified.
The latter is actually the norm at this point... because it's been the most common this year...
So I've got to ask, are we moving soon? Not that I want to put pressure on the staff but either there's background shit going on or the sites been trying to kill itself for a few weeks now. Usually it's fine and then other times you'll just get odd errors usually tied to trying to access a page...
You might as well ask if setting a house on fire will lead to that house burning down. Even if the thread wasn't inherently against rule 8, surely it would just be a bait thread.
I'm not sure why anybody would ever give crunchyroll money unless they were stuck with no real other options.
They took a half-decade to finish rolling out an upgraded app for their anime streaming, they nearly SB'd they're website years back because of a complete unwillingness to actually...
While there are articles focusing on trying to get people to boycott, outside of Ukraine I don't really see it viable on the basis they use.
Personally, I'm far more concerned about the fact that they used to provide information directly to an internal spy agency than a less than 3 degrees of...
That Nintendo Direct was genuinely hilarious.
An Indie farming game surrounded on both sides by remakes of popular farming games in AWL and Rune Factory 3.
Sea Lion Press was started up by a bunch of long term AH users as a way to publish TL's and the forum spun out of that.
The name itself is a reference to AH.com's endless over the years "Sea Lion could definitely have worked" threads and the memes tied to it.
Skirting rule 8 for a second...
