The issue with logging in with email addresses has been resolved.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
This approach assumes that those requests will be taken care of immediately by QQ's staff, those requests will always come to the attention of QQ's staff, and that there's going to be enough mods to take care of requests as they come.
None of those things are ever going to be happening on a...
I'm gonna be honest, I mentally filter out something like 90% of crw at this point, and search primarily by tag or authors I know I like, because 90% of it is just unreadable.
Too many SPAG errors makes for an unhappy GG.
This has happened with every rule change, and with the exact same folks.
I'm honestly surprised the staff thought this was a problem, tbh - I didn't think crw on this site had as many fan translations as it apparently did.
Goes to show what I know, I guess.
This rule change doesn't surprise...
Only if you make it fall under Rule 8.
Just avoid bringing up current real life events, current real life public figures, or current real life arguments, and you should be fine.
Rule 8 was implemented so people would stop bringing their shitty real-life arguments onto a forum that's ostensibly...
Few things.
1) The logo doesn't look like it scaled properly on my screen. It's just smushed into the corner. There are a lot of images that got kinda futzed up.
2) My avvie absolutely did not transition properly. The testbed's still got my old short-haired Mash avvie, not the long-haired...
Fucking lmao are you kidding me right now.
"Is there a conflict of interest here we'd like to disclose" man, get off your high horse with this conspiracy nonsense.
Y'know what? I'm gonna lay down some facts for the thread at large, since I used to be a mod and I'm still friendly with...
I’m going to put things in perspective.
This thread was started in 2019. The XF2 upgrade was being talked about while I was still a mod.
I fucking quit literally this week.
It has been years at this point. Like god, four years.
Like, 90% of the accounts on QQ are basically lurkers...
I bullied ultima333 into letting me write this announcement for a change.
I’ll skip to the pertinent bits because I don’t want to attention-whore more than I have to. I’m quitting as a moderator because I plan on going to law school this year and that is absolutely going to kill the free time...
If you're noticing it that much, it's already a forum cultural identity thing tbh.
I mean, personally, I think there's a case to be made here because rule 5 is a thing, but I don't know how the rest of the staff feel about taking action on posts like that.
Is there an argument to be made...
ilikeFanfiction, please consult the rules:
Do not post in threads that have been inactive for more than a month if you do not have anything substantial to add. That post isn't nearly substantial enough. Begging for an update does not count as a significant contribution.
Also, I've merged...
