Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

you do lose out on utility but it is a fair bit of damage when talking LRM 15s and 20s. maybe for the SRM 6 as well it has some use cases. but seeing it used for smaller launchers makes me sad.
5/8/5 is pretty maneuverable and the 13 heatsinks is enough to jump 5 and throw out the Large Laser consistently. it would be a solid cheap mech. it allows you to train your guys on jumping. you don't got to worry about ammo bombs. solid enough armor for 40 tons. I can see a fair amount of...
An intro tech variant of the watchman 4dm wouldn't be bad at all. PPC on a 5/8/5 mover that can swap to 3 MLs for closer range work. outdoes the panther in every respect at least. no ammo bomb. faster. hits just as hard. well maybe a bit toasty in comparison if you are jumping a bunch. but...
Yeah I've used the Annihilator a few times in megamek. the movement can be painful. if you do manage to waddle into position though you are a happy camper. Bastion looks cool. long range and a backup 8 Mlas is nice. not seeing the rampart so link plz?
If you are staying introtech there is the PPC variant for the annihilator that is pretty fun. 4 PPCs is fun. 2/3 movement is sad. overall a fun meme to play with from time to time. just waddles forward and reaches out with 4 PPC's swapping a few out for Mlas if things try and underrun it...
300 is nice but then you got the 60 ton 5/8 which is a bit hit and miss in terms of good mechs. ost doing it well and quick draw showing how not to. then you go to a 50 tonner 6/9 and I can only think of the Chameleon that did it. fine for what it is but that is basically just a heavier pixie...
fair. but it can fire both PPCs and work in the AC20 for a few turns while stationary. it isn't perfect but it does punch holes. pair it with something with some scatter damage like a battlemaster or an LRM boat or something that loads up on SRMs and fun times will be had. it has a limited niche...
looking at it from their perspective it is more expensive not that much more dangerous and a short ranged combatant best used on defensive engagements. it also doesn't use any advanced tech so yeah I could see the argument.
please tell me he isn't talking about those hawks that strip armor for a bunch of small lasers. whoever designed that was clearly a maskirova agent who wanted to get pilots killed.
Looking at the EMP-5A I think it looks a bit like a rifleman.2 AC 5s. 2 Large Lasers. not enough heatsinks... It did however up he armor to a respectable degree. the Jump jets though... I'd probably swap them out for heat sinks. I get the fun factor of a jumping assault but as is the heat curve...
I don't know why but I keep randomly rolling goliaths when I randomly generate lists. I am beginning to think it is my spirit mech... I like it fine but it isn't that common on the tables I roll but whenever I roll assaults it is either the goliath or a striker which is another 80 ton mech that...
I could see the argument that it is a centurion replacement. Snub nose big gun. MMLs so added weak long range support. 3 small Xpulse for anti infantry work and crit seeking with srm mode. quicker and more close range oriented sure. still similar. could also see it being competition for a...
But think of the Dakka! you jump around and go DakkaDakka and enemy is ded. I get it though. PPCs are love. PPCs are life. the main advantage the AC variant would have is just how much cheaper it is to make and field.
I can dig it. pace is slow but it has good ranged capabilities and trying to underrun it puts you in range of 8 medium lasers. nothing really wants to tangle with that. the flamers are just an added insult to make them regret their decision if they come into play. if they aren't in range then...
