You think the various manufacturing companies in the FedSuns would get in line if Ian or Hanse gave them a nudge and Henry offered to just build them factories?
Henry is starting to remind me of the guy who designed and built the Detroit Tank Factories and most of the Soviet tractor/tank...
I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sure if the legal issue is just over the Demolisher or the Schrek as well. The proceedings might slow down production of the two heavy/assault weight tanks but there is NOTHING stopping Henry from building his medium tanks like it's WW2.
I THINK there was a background lore blurb brought up around the time ComStar started trying to expand the Comguard about reopening/rebuilding old SLDF manufacturing centers on Terra. If I remember right, companies that ComStar had major leverage over that had ties to those production lines were...
Hmm, things being set up for the next arc(or arc’s?). The FedSuns are consolidating and Henry is setting up for the move to Bristol…and I have a feeling he’s going to nonchalantly build a full bore Star League automated factory complex underground somewhere. Or use the factory for engines to...
Putting the pre eminent industrialist in the FedSuns that ISN’T already fully tied down to a company, who is also LOYAL personally and professionally to Ian and Hanse in charge of Bristol makes sense. It will fast track any push Henry makes to manufacture the vehicles he’s been talking about and...
Huh, I hadn’t even considered that the sent Clay to Sakhara half to get him away from the politics on New Avalon, half to ‘let him cook’ on the engineering projects he brought up.
For all that some of seems to be crawling along we are seeing the plot points tick by. It’s also putting into perspective how things are changing in the background.
I think there’s a system in the Concordat that manufactures a little of everything, Taurus or Sterope, but that’s literally the only other place I can remember with that broad of build capacity. The ASF price vs mechs I’ve always just put down to the myomer, gyro and such making mech just that...
I think the school of hard knocks these cadets are going throws going to give them a much higher survival percentage once they actually get into combat. The fact they’re having the arrogance beaten out of them as they impress their instructors is saying good thing about their potential.
I think the issue is that he would need a license for the Hunchback, and I think the company that owns it and hands those out is based in the Combine. I think.
Good lord all of those are NASTY. In universe any of those would get you a license to print money if you could build them in number, especially in the Commonwealth.
Everything from the Flying Wolfhound down is very much my speed lol.
The Fed Suns make perfectly good fighters. The Centurion, Sparrowhawk, Stuka, Thunderbird, and Corsair. All of those designs produced in more numbers would MASSIVELY help. If Henry can get production runs of SLDF Royal models as well it would be game changing when it comes to defending and...
What would be more useful to the March Militia, given Henry is also ramping up tank production? Just as much as can be spared for them, whatever it might be. Or tank focused with concentrated Mech units to back-stop them?
Eh, we’ll see. Henry can bring in the units at Veteran and Elite so we’d need to see them in action against a peer or near peer to see how they stack up.
