Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I'm convinced that the original Cyclops was an Amaris plot. Sure it requires him to be able to time travel, but that's hardly the most ridiculous thing he did in his takeover.
The CP-10-Q is 17 tons of armor, introduced in 2801. It's hilariously lightly armed for an assault though with 2 LRM10s, 3 Medium Lasers and 1 SMR4. That's in line with some medium mechs, it pays for that engine rating of 4.
So the Cyclops is honestly the best of the lot. It's intended for high level command, with a mega powerful comand and control computer. It's not supposed to fight anything. It's a heavy armed and armored command HQ van with legs. The CP-10-Q and the later refits that take out the misplaced AC-20...
The issue with purpose built command mechs is that they should draw fire like nothing else. You're broadcasting who to target to remove command and control.
Changing over to PPCs makes the mech a Warhammer. Turning everything into an energyboat is the same kind of homogenizing everyone does with Introtech. While understandable, it's boring.
I'd rather see the AC-10s built around. When you get specialist ammo or LBX they become decent enough and...
The AC5 is generally just garbage, but so many mechs use them you sorta have to keep it for lore reasons. Accurate ammo makes AC5s less of a paperweight. Maybe ammo is the answer? It just gets tiring seeing endless energy boats and lrm5 multiples with the only ACs being 20s or LBXs.
Boo Medium Lasers, while taking off ammo weapons and adding MLs is almost always the correct choice it is also the most boring choice. Pretty much every introtech mech is made better by dropping ACs and LRM 10s and adding MLs, when you get to DHs it gets even worse.
Every mech ends up looking...
