• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

There's no limit on images per post. However, it's never really been tested with a ton of images per post, that I know of.

The forum's software doesn't have that capability in an automated fashion. If someone wanted to buy an account upgrade for someone else, they would need to contact me and we'd hash it out.

Not true. We have lump sum options in the form of donations.

I'm not sure, actually. I don't know if PayPal plays well with gift cards.

It was there from the first few days of the switch to Xenforo. :P The colors are set by what secondary group you are part of, then by priority among those. I gave subscriber higher priority than donator because, over the long run, subscribers almost always end up paying more into the forum...

European servers, under European laws. Under said laws, a good chunk of our content would be illegal.

It might, if you're using a prepaid credit card.

It's all done by Paypal, I'm afraid. The hosting plan is billed to it. You can, iirc, pay into a Paypal account by credit card/prepaid credit card without a Paypal account.

    Server Upgrade & Donations

Well, Paypal does take a small fee out of donations(2.9% + $.30). That's why the minimum is $5 a month. That gives us, iirc, $4.50/mo. Any less and it feels like people are paying Paypal for almost no gain.

    Server Upgrade & Donations

QQ has steadily been growing since its inception. What started as a small forum of 25~ concurrent users is now averaging 500+ in any given 15 minute window. We're not small time anymore! This has consequences. We've had to upgrade our hosting plan a couple times in the past, and that time is...
