I guess he'll just have to eat a Malfoy. :p:p

I'm kinda hoping that Skeeter finds herself arrested for assisting slavers, or something similar. Or, just finding the entire MLE fines her for breathing, every time they see her.

No, as long as the price of oil is high enough, it's worth doing. At the moment, as long as oil is over $60 a barrel, I'm told, you can make a profit. As long as the Govenment doesn't screw you, of course. But the bacteria, that's different. Magic bacteria could do all sorts of things, make...

At the very begining, sure. It's much better now. Cheaper, too. Still more expensive than a perfect oil well, but there aren't that many of them in the world. Anyway, for the obssesed-with-heavy-machinery youngster, it's going to be interesting. I wonder what ideas he'll get from such tech?

Nobody knows. Frankly, compared to massive magical power, anthomorpic climate change is trivial. After a couple of thousand years of mana storms, humans are a small thing.

I like the kraken ward. It's a good excuse for a fun line. The world building, about how screwy the Magical world is, well, that's interesting as well. Dark and fucked up, sure, but interesting. A lot of magical factions haven't changed in centuries, I see.

Instead of getting too political, I'll just say that he might be right, about the towers. I honestly don't know, but it wouldn't be the first time. There's some real assholes, well, almost everywhere.

A fair few would, if they didn't think it'd make things worse for them. Being obviously capapable of defending yourself, makes you a priority target of the predators in a place like that. The way to survive there is to be a sheep. If you're not a sheep, you're a rival for power...

    Enter the Dragon (Harry Potter/Shadowrun)

From what little I know about the Favelas, they do. If nothing else, they pay their protection money, and are vastly more willing to dive for cover ASAP, than in safer places. There are people I know here in Sydney, Australia, who don't quite beleve that rape and murder is a real thing here...

Oricalcum has rules for making it, in 5th ed. Difficult, time consuming, but good for high grade magic.

If you read any of the WOG that JKR wrote about how things worked, you soon find that she really doesn't care. She said in an interview, there's whatever the plot needs in Harry Potter. She doesn't worry about the lack of it being in before, even if it should have been. It's only us fans...

With the Horror in the basement, well, there's a reason Aztechnology leads the world in both blood magic and cyber-zombieing. The best at horrific magic, that's them.

    Enter the Dragon (Harry Potter/Shadowrun)

Don't know anything about "Dracula" in Shadowrun. Haven't seen that one. But, as for magic..... There seems to be two levels of magic. PC level, pretty impressive, sure, but, when you read some of the books, the big rituals.... The Great Ghost Dance is the classic example. "We want...

    Enter the Dragon (Harry Potter/Shadowrun)

Shadowrun dragons don't die of old age. They're also immune to disease, nearly immune to magic, and fully capable of magics that no human can come close to. You can kill them, though, if you're hard enough, it's true. I'm not sure anybody in the Wizarding World counts, however.

    Enter the Dragon (Harry Potter/Shadowrun)

I have. I'm a long time fan of Shadowrun. It's just that Shadowrun has nothing so.... thorough. Nor long lasting. There's some serious monstering, but nothing that lasts for 100's of years. People can fight back in Shadowrun. People do fight back in Shadowrun. If nothing else, there's...

    Enter the Dragon (Harry Potter/Shadowrun)

I've read 40k fics with lighter world building. Heck, Shadowrun it self in lighter. Still, it's reasonably well done, and it hangs together (Strangling and kicking) so I'm mostly waiting for a dragon to start eating most of the Wizarding World.
