You wake up to the sound of your alarm clock going off and slap it silent with a soft grumble before blinking blearily, recoiling slightly as the bright morning sun shines it's radiance into your eyes and bird-song drifts into your ears.

Stupid birds, they can never sing anything good. Always the same 'tweet-tweet' sound, why couldn't you live somewhere with birds that made cool sounds or imitated people, that would be kick-ass. You roll over and contemplate sleeping in, but between the growling of your stomach, the realization that you need to pee, and the memory that you had something important to do today, you reluctantly remove yourself from under your nice, soft, warm covers and go to take a shower.

During the shower, you blink away the sleep and realize you have momentarily forgotten your name, "Give me a break." Thankfully, a genius like you knows how to use mnemonics to recall important details and you begin going through the mnemonics.

[]What is your name?
[]What is your appearance? (Picture optional)
[]What is your nationality?

Perks And Traits:
-Trait: Egomaniac - It's all about you, and only you, why should you fucking care about other people. You take a -20 Penalty to rolls to help others unless you can justify it as being in your best interests.

-Trait: Genius - You're smart, the kind of smart that puts you on the level of Einstein, Turing, Hawking and a whole host of other people. The kind of smart that gives you +30 to any rolls requiring any kind of intelligence.

-Trait: Cold Rage - You have a light of Rage and Hatred in you, waiting to be turned into a blazing, ice-cold flame that will destroy your enemies. You can use mnemonics to induce in yourself this state of Rage, granting +25 to using your powers and +20 to your attacks. When using Rage, roll 1d6. On a 4+, you Burn Out and cannot use your Rage for the next update.

-Perk: Sexy - You have a smoking hot bod and the kind of voice that gets straight men, lesbians and bi-sexuals hot under their collars, giving you +15 to seducing or convincing people. (If enough people ask, I might make an NSFW thread for sexy-time snippets.)

-Perk: Focused - You can Focus on a single task to give you a +40 Bonus to the roll.

-Perk: Perfect Recall - You can make a request of the GM to instantly and perfectly recall one important piece of information. This can only be done once per turn.

-Perk: Zen In Frozen Fury - Your Rage is one of ice and in that ice you find peace and calm. When inducing a state of Rage, you are immune to mental changes.

Damage and Combat Explanation:
All weapons following a specific Damage Track, and certain weapons/attacks can have the potential to increase their possible damage. Here are the Damage Tracks:

Impact Damage Track: Dazed/Stunned/Badly Stunned/Unconscious/Dead/Fine Paste
Blade Damage Track: Nicked/Scratched/Cut/Wounded/Badly Wounded/Critically Wounded/Fatally Wounded/Gutted/Dead
Gun Damage Track: Wounded/Badly Wounded/Fatally Wounded/Shredded/Red Mist
Explosive Damage Track: Badly Wounded/Fatally Wounded/Chunky Salsa/Red Mist

More might be discovered as the quest progresses.

Dodging is an opposed roll to an attack, but after the rolls are done, the difference is calculated. The higher the difference, the greater the chance of a Glancing Blow that does reduced damage.

Damage for weapons is a letter code based on the first letters on their appropriate Damage Track. Next to the code is a number, showing the number of sides on the dice-roll to potentially boost damage. The result will be compared to any armour, and subtractions will reduce the damage further down the Damage Track until the attack does no damage.

For example, a knife with W4 would cause a Wound normally, but a 1d4 roll could result in a Fatal Wound.

Damage stacks, so getting a Wound in combat, and then another Wound would result in a Badly Wounded result.

Damage of one type is counted as a step lower when damage of another type is applied when calculating damage stacking.

For example, a Character who is Cut from a Blade attack is hit by an Impact attack. The damage counts as Stunned when calculating damage stacking from the Impact attack.

Making TinkerTech!
TinkerTech is based on a Tinker's ability to turn conventional technology and materials ranging from top of the line components to a box of scraps in an abandoned house into advanced technology beyond the State Of The Art for conventional Earth technology. But this takes time, money and materials and the difficulty of making the TinkerTech depends on how close to your specialities it is.

TinkerTech Materials:
The Material for TinkerTech comes in several forms; Scrap, Electronic Parts, Chemicals, Unstable Chemicals, Isotopes and Esoterics.
-Scrap: The basic building material for every piece of technology, Scrap is a catch-all term for any and all metal you need.

-Electronic Parts: Electronic parts are used for targeting sensors, timers, detonators, anything that needs circuitry, which makes them equally as valuable as Scrap.

-Chemicals: Chemicals are used to make anything from smoke and various gas types to standard explosives.

-Unstable Chemicals: This is key to the most powerful explosives and gas types, and more esoteric tech require these for sudden high-energy releases.

-Isotopes: Radioactive materials, magnetics and other materials that could be used in high-energy physics. Often has to be made with specialist equipment.

-Esoterics: These materials are unknown, as is the means to acquire or create them, but they are necessary to create truly deadly Tinker creations.

Money and Purchasing Tinker Materials: Money is used to purchase much of your materials when you can't simply scavenge or steal it. Your money is divided between two sources, your Wallet and your Bank Accounts.

Your Wallet is used for more immediate purchases and can currently store 1000 Dollars. Improving your wallet lets you store more money.

Your Bank Accounts are how you get large amounts of materials or specialist equipment. Currently you have a personal bank account with 12,000 Dollars in it. You might need to acquire more bank accounts that are more secretive as time goes on.

Making Tinker Technology:
You make Tinker Tech by rolling 1d100's to match the Target Number and the number of Successes for the Difficulty.

Target Numbers
Very Easy: 10
Easy: 20
Moderately Easy: 30
Normal: 40
Difficult: 50
Very Difficult: 60
Hard: 70
Very Hard: 80
Impossible: 90

Target Successes:
Very Easy: 1 Success
Easy: 2
Moderately Easy: 3
Normal: 4
Difficult: 5
Hard: 6
Very Hard: 7
Impossible: 8

Failures are rerolled, but each failure extends the time taken by one day.

Example:
Alice decides to build an IED, which requires 3d100 to beat 20. If she fails a roll, she can reroll it, but it takes a day to finish the IED.

Making Tinker Technology that isn't in your specialisation makes tasks one step higher.

Example:
Alice decides to make a multi-barrel automatic grenade launcher, which would normally be a 4d100 to beat 30. Since it isn't in her speciality, it would be 5d100 to beat 40.

-Coming Soon! More exciting features!-

ideas for reaserch

capture mini-bombs: bombs the size of a paintball they explode with a strong and sticky goo that covers a human sized target and is air permeable.
Pistol launcher: a pistol sized coilgun that launchs our paintball sized minibombs like a bullet.

Try to be somewhat intelligent with your suggestions people.

that last post is a bit far out there but that's the worst of what we got.

also i'm trying to remember: does Bakuda use holographic camo in canon or is that just Cloudy path?

I can approve of this choice. Silver sun has my vote.

Changing vote because any Russian is better than Non-Russian.

I'm thinking Rogue with a little bit of heroic tendencies (we don't tolerate villains causing trouble in our corner of the city, bad for business). our costume is a catsuit, belt with pouches filled with bombs, bracers loaded with mini-bombs we can pop into our hand with a flick of the wrist and a Tinker tech mask.

Character Sheet Updated!

Oh yes, now you remember, Alice Williams, a sexy Russo-American who definitely got the best of both worlds from Mommy and Daddy, and had the kind of IQ that marked her as a genius with a capital 'G', and you got to skip most of middle school and Junior High to boot. Booyah.

You spend a moment making sure you were perfect, which you still were, and breezily head back into your room to get dressed in something tastefully sexy, because unlike those bottle-bleach and naturally blonde bimbos who passed on mediocre marks as well as on their backs, you didn't have to flaunt your body to get attention.

And speaking of bodies, you better take care of yours with some breakfast! You decide to treat yourself this month with some chocolate pancakes with plenty of syrup.

Why? You are about to present the project that will all but ensure that your Degree here at Cornell University is in the bag! Oh sure, you still had to study up for the big exams and your Thesis, but there was no way that you were going to get less than a 80 on this at the very least with the amount of work you've put into this, you were confident that a 90 or a 100 was going to be all yours!

You start giggling. The look on the faces of the rest of the class was going to be priceless, especially that fucker Clark!

Your attached essay was complete, and you only had a few final touches to put on the final portion of your Practical Assignment. Speaking of which, you should probably take care of that now, since you were handing in...

[]...a working scale model of an X-Plane for your Aerospace Engineering Degree.
[]...a virtual model of a theoretical super-plague for your Biology Doctorate.
[]...a new type of explosive for your Chemistry Masters.
[]...that theoretical particle model for your Physics Doctorate.
[]...actually, what was it again? (Write In)

[X]...a virtual model of a theoretical super-plague for your Biology Doctorate.

Blacklight-Bakuda!

Second ones the Chirugeon shard. Third is canon Bakuda. Fourth sounds like String Theory. Fuck if I know what the first one is. Eh. Blacklight why not.

[X]...a virtual model of a theoretical super-plague for your Biology Doctorate.

Because eh. Its best option for turning ourselves into our own Frankenstein.

[X]...a working scale model of an X-Plane for your Aerospace Engineering Degree.
