The trio of humans are rubbing their hands over the last bastion of warmth in the cold. Necro is sitting by the makeshift fire pit with his two companions. The female is his older sister, Socium and the male is their childhood friend. They were from Julkoun. A farming hamlet located between Secomber and Daggerford. They have spent their childhood in the hamlet. His sister is a hunter of his family, taking after their father who occasionally went into the Misty Forest to the south over the Delimbiyr River via rowboat to hunt their games in the day. Necro works with a local blacksmith in forging tools and dreams of being guard after he encounters a party of adventurers heading to Secomber from Daggerford along the route when they take a break in their hamlet. He learns they are heading for that town because they need help with local monsters. That was years ago and besides the few local guards who taught him some swordsmanship, his mother disapproved but was unable to stop him as he was "merely" making use of tools that he forged under his master blacksmith.
They are currently in the Misty Forest at nighttime, breaking the rule of their homeplace setting up a curfew rule, and their Chief warning everyone not to enter Misty Forest at nighttime. Even their father refuses to do so despite being a hunter who regularly hunts in the forest with Socium for games. They only did this because of a dare from their friends. They were bored and had dreams of lands beyond their home. They jump at the chance to get a taste of what it is like being... more than just... people?
Necro is currently wearing his chainmail, his long blonde hair free in the air revealing his coal-black eyes. He inspects his shield cuffing to his left arm. His long sword is currently sheathed by his hip. All of them were forged by his hands. His backpack is full of a bedroll, a mess kit, a tinderbox, 10 torches, 10 days of rations, and a waterskin. The pack also has 50 feet of hempen rope strapped to the side of it and a light crossbow with 20 bolts on the other side. It may seem overkill but he is not an idiot. There is a reason why they are banned from being in Misty Forest or anywhere close to it at nighttime. It pays to be safe just in case.
His big sister carries a backpack full of similar things but with a whip instead of rope. She is dressed in leather armor, her longbow and 20 arrows resting on her back, separated from her backpack in case she needs to drop her backpack but still have her weapon ready. Her long blonde hair rested loosely on the side of her head just like her little brother. She has amber eyes. To her hip sheathed a short sword and her backpack had two handaxes tied to them. Just in case she needs to get personal.
"I really think this is a bit much. We are only going to be here for a night before going back home and getting in big trouble and never do this again for the rest of our life as mum will make sure we never leave her sight ever again..." She sighs at this. Necro shakes his head, "Come on. If that is the case. Why go back after a night? We can keep exploring. Hells! What about visiting other towns like Daggerford or Secomber? We have a whole life ahead of us!" He tries to encourage his big sister who just smiles before returning to keeping eyes out. The fire barely keeps them warm from the chilling air of the forest as their shadows dance around the mist surrounding them, pierced only by the long light brown branches of trees that are watching above them.
