So I've been recently doing a lot of writing in the QQ text box instead of what I'd usually do and writing in a google doc first and then copying over. And when I started doing that, I saw this wonderful little "Save Drafts" button at the top right of the text editor, and thought, okay, maybe this will help.

So I write something up to 8k words, hit the save drafts button. And when I open the page on a different device, that 8k words shows up in the text box of the thread. Very useful.

So the next day I go back, and add to that post. Now it's at 10k words. I hit save draft, open on my other device and try to check it. And it's the old 8k version, not the 10k version I just saved. So I go back, hit save draft on the 10k words version again, and reload the page on my other device again. And it is still the 8k version.

And then, being the idiot I am, I go back to the 10k version, hit save draft a third time, and then reload that page. Which of course resets me to the 8k version still for some reason, and now I have deleted the 10k version entirely.

What happened? How are drafts supposed to work? Why does hitting save do absolutely nothing? Why is it called "Drafts" if you can't save multiple different drafts and load them?

If the button does nothing, why haven't you just removed it from the UI? If it does do something, how the hell does it work?

I don't know how its officially supposed to work, but I have noticed a few things.

There is only ever 1 draft stored.
It auto saves after like 3 seconds without typing.
The same saved draft is displayed in the text box for every thread you go to, so you can accidentally post a reply to a quote meant for one thread in a different one if you have multiple tabs open.
I don't do long posts so I haven't hit it myself, but from other people complaining about eaten posts, there is a size limit to the saved draft.
From having multiple tabs open, the draft doesn't live sync, you have to fully reload the page for the draft to carry over.
