Just saw this on CNN. A Constable with the Edmonton Police Service has been shot and killed while serving a warrant, and a Sergeant was also injured. The whereabouts of the shooter are as of yet unknown, but apparently the building in which the incident occured at caught fire around the time of the shooting.

Sad really. First time in close to 25 years that a Constable with the department has been killed in the line of duty.

Just saw it on the news, the shooter was the owner of the house and he had a high powered gun of unknown model. There was 53 bullet holes found on the house on the opposite of the house from the incident apparently happening over a 10 minute period, the man also had an expired firearm license, not paying taxes and being foreclosed on by the bank.
