Saw this late last night via the CNN website.

Apparently and individual who was reported to Edmonton Police as possibly suicidal is believe to have murdered 8 other individuals at two seperate locations throughout the city, before apparently committing suicide at a restaurant outside of town.

This, the AirAsia flight, this year 2014 really wants to end on a bad note it seems. Maybe there's time for an earthquake or nuclear meltdown to cap off the New Year.
 
Two of his victims appear to have been children too. That's just depressing.
 
Well, that's just grand. Way to end the year.
