Fallen Writers

Just found out about the passing of another old writer, Scriviner... from the days of FFML, TFF... ancient days before the turning of the millennium.

Many remarkable writers, despite creating profound works, have "fallen" from widespread recognition over time. Figures like Zora Neale Hurston, Shirley Jackson, and Nella Larsen, prominent in their eras, saw their significant contributions to American literature and social commentary only fully appreciated decades after their deaths. Similarly, H.P. Lovecraft gained cult status posthumously, while John Kennedy Toole's Pulitzer-winning novel was published only after his tragic suicide, a testament to how some brilliant literary voices are truly discovered long after their time.
