  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
A tip on setting the Tone of Day - Provided by Yuuki4108
To keep things short. Today was a bit of a stumble, it was a very alien experience for me to step outside of my normal instant-gratification/procrastination routine. I spent nearly all day until evening procrastinating! What a start! But, once it was evening, I took a look at my goals that I wrote the night before and firmly decided that I should get started. Today I cleaned up my room, walked around my town delivering mail and taking in wood for the local elders, did my laundry and bought a book online that I plan to study! But even then... taking all day just to do some small things like this make me rather mad. I'll probably write that down before I go to bed tonight.

AND! Because this is an update for self-improvement. That means there has to be a motivational quote from the stoics.
"At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: "I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?"

So you were born to feel "nice"? Instead of doing things and experiencing them? Don't you see the plants, the birds, the ants and spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in order, as best they can? And you're not willing to do your job as a human being? Why aren't you running to do what your nature demands?
You don't love yourself enough. Or you'd love your nature too, and what it demands of you."

― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

I can definitely get behind this thread. Pro tip: set the tone of the day by starting your day off with something productive and everything will follow after. Likewise if you spend the entire morning on Youtube, the tone of the day will follow that
